Hi Everyone,

I have a questions regarding the post ITA application hoping for some advice,

In the address history, we need to provide all addresses we stayed at, my question is does it to have to correspond with what we provide in the travel history?

For example, I had a lease for a place for 2 years in canada so sept 2012 to august 2014 which I paid all the rent for. But from june to october 2014 I went back home for vacation. So in this scenario should I mention the address I was staying at in my home country regardless of the fact that I was paying the rent in Canada? That is, I put the canadian address from sept 2012 to june 2014 and then june 2014 to october is my back home address? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can keep your permanent address to cover those two months, as your two weeks at home were a vacation.

Thanks for responding! However, I am still confused because I stayed for 4 months back home (june 2014 to october 2014) but my lease in Canada was till August 2014 so I paid the remaining 2 months rent even though I wasnt physically there. I am very confused as to whether I should indicate the address I was physically staying at or the ones on my lease.

In 5 years of studies in Canada, I moved several times so I always put a relatives address on official documents such as drivers .license for mailing purposes even though I never lived there.

Write the addresses and dates you physically lived there. Explain in your loe that the lease was still being paid etc... That's what the lie is for. This situation is not going to result in a rejection.

you need to mention all addresses regardless even if you stay in one country for one day.

Are you sure about this??? if this was the case then we would have to write all the hotels and etc. How does CIC define LIVE?? I am in Canada as student since 2015, stayed at friends for 3 days, then moved to my Canadian address and stayed there up to this day. I have also traveled back home twice for 3 weeks, but I am planning to write that I have lived in Canada since 2015 at my current address and then add the travels back home into travel history. am I missing something?

By rule you have to mention all addresses, although they can not verify all addresses, not mentioning means misrepresentation

Ugh, no. You don't have to mention all addresses "even if there for a day". You list your physical residential addresses. A PCC is generated based on whether you lived at an address in a country or if you were visiting the country for 180 days.

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding my address history post ITA.

Throughout my undergraduate degree, I would transition between different residences within the academic year. Specifically, during winter and summer breaks, when my lease agreements would expire, I would temporarily move out of my residence and travel on a vacation. During these vacations, I would input the address of the country I traveled to, as I did not have an active lease agreement in Canada at that time. Once I returned to Canada, I would secure a new residence along with a fresh lease agreement, and I would provide the corresponding address for this period. When completing the address history section of my application, I included the addresses where I had valid lease agreements.

Is this the right approach?

Ugh, no. You don't have to mention all addresses "even if there for a day". You list your physical residential addresses. A PCC is generated based on whether you lived at an address in a country or if you were visiting the country for 180 days.
