Hi
I recently got invited for the express entry and while gathering all the documents i found out that i will need letters from my past employers, which i have except for one, so i contacted my previous employer but he told me that he stopped been a partner to that company 4 years ago, so i asked him, who should i contact for this letter he gave the name of another partner, but he told me that the company which i used to work no longer exist, they created a new company with a different name so he can not provide me with a letter.

What can i do in this case? I just worked there for 3 months and it was just project based, so unfortunately i dont have any copy of my contract.

What could i do in my cic application?

Thank you

Are you claiming points for such work experience? If not, simply remove it from the work history and add it in the personal history section.

Yes, you can get a reference letter from her but I wouldn't get it in company letterhead as it doesn't exist anymore.

Ideally get a business card from her and if possible anything that shows that she worked for the company where you worked.
