Hello Asivad Anac,

I think I have got a problem, so your opinion is needed.

I have got the 2nd additional document request from Ontario - this time for the pay stubs (previously is was 6 months bank statements). It would not pose the problem if the Reference Letter and the pay stubs evidence (it is called as Certificate of Income) were provided by the same company. The problem is that the Reference Letter is provided by the company (let it be called the head company) whose name and other data is widely used in all commercial activity of the Group, while I am officially employed by the other company (let it be called the subsidiary) that also belongs to this Group but is mainly used for the salary related matters. I never thought i would be requested to provide the pay stubs (the total salary info was clearly stated in the Reference Letter). Now, the head company indicated as my employer in the Reference Letter and the subsidiary company is also indicated as my employer in Certificate of Income. I realize that I should have foreseen this situation, but....if I could only know..

The Certificate of Income issued by subsidiary company, states that the company belongs to the group, but I feel this may sound not convincing...

What should I do?, please help

Explain it exactly as you've done here. Provide all possible additional evidence to prove the same - online references, company literature etc.

Hi Asivad,

First of all abig thank you for being so supportive and helping out people.

I am asking this query for my friend who is going to make his EE profile today:

He is an engineer by profession and was supposed to complete his degree in 2006. But he had a couple of papers which he didn't clear. He completed his papers in 2011. Now WES has evaluated his degree and the year is written as 2011.

He has been working since 2006 on the basis of a Provisional Degree since the company which he joined first aloowed him to join with the pending papers.

His work ex is the following:

June 2006 - June 2013 (Company A)
June 2013 - March 2015 (Company B)
March 2015 - Current (Company C)

What work ex should he claim?

Option 1:

Claim work ex starting from Company B. But this gives less points for work ex as all of Company A's work ex is not counted.

Option 2:

Claim work ex starting from Company A but from the year 2011. This way he gets points for 2 extra years.

So what i would like to know is that from what year he should claim his experience from?

Also there is a question in EE profile where it asks when was the person eligible to work in the selected NOC. What year should this be?

Any other suggestions please?

Thanks

Hi Asivad Anac and other seniors,

I started my post graduation (M.Tech.) in July, 2011 as a part time student( classes on weekend only). In the same time period I also got Full Time job offer as a computer programmer. My M.Tech completed in July, 2014( its a 2 year course if studied Full Time and 3 years if Part-Time) and I am still working in the same Job. My official transcript of M.Tech clearly mentions that the study was Part-Time and I have also mentioned the same in the "Education and Languages" Section of my profile as well as personal history section. I am uploading the official transcript as well, but WES report and my degree certificate does not mentions word Part-Time. Is LOE required to clear any confusion that CIC officer might have while checking my file?

If you are claiming any work experience in parallel with your education, then yes, you should mention it.

Otherwise, no need !

Yes, you can write a LOE and mention that your degree was part-time. Write LOEs for any and all exceptions you find in your application.

No harm in submitting that as well to prove actual fund transfer but the 'incoming' transfer could be considered proof in itself. And I'm presuming that gift deed/affidavit clearly mentions transaction details including bank information of both sender and receiver.
Hi Asivad Anac,

Yes I am submitting Gift Deed and Affidavit. I am also submitting the 6 months bank statement which shows the funds being transferred into my account via cheque. I am also submitting the scanned copy of the exact cheque which was used to transfer the funds. I think that its sufficient?

That should suffice, connect the dots in an LOE.

Hi,

It was my birthday last week. My score has not reduced as yet. It is already Dec 11. I already refreshed my profile. I understand all those technical issues which IRCC's system is facing. My questions is should I do anything or just wait and wait?

Thanks

You don't need to do anything.

  • Hi,

I am a computer programmer. Does these responsibilities look fine for NOC 2174 (Computer programmer part):

Write, modify, and integrate SAS, SQL and Hadoop software codes for a given requirement.

Maintain existing SAS and SQL software applications by making necessary changes as per business or system requirements.

Migrate SAS software applications from UNIX and mainframe systems to distributed LINUX system and change the code as required by the underlying target system.

Identify and fix technical coding issues in the production environment and notify the appropriate stakeholders.

Prepare application development status reports, software user guide for business users, and application operational documents for software support personnel. Also work with the business analysts and system analysts in the collection and documentation of business/user requirements.

Just wanted to get an opinion if it is in sync with NOC 2174.

The question when a person became eligible to work in the selected NOC is answered on CIC site in FAQ. This relates to federal skilled trade persons who have to obtain certification before starting the practice.

Dear Asivad,

First of all a big thank you for all your help.

Something strange happened with my EE profile. As you must have observed that after the recent changes by IRCC, the option of two or more degrees and diplomas have been removed from the express entry profile. Now for two degrees, we need to enter their Canadian equivalency separately as per WES.

So ideally if your report shows two degrees equivalent to two Canadian degrees, you should get Corresponding points for two or more degree or diplomas. However, before this change I had selected two or more degrees and diploma and I got correct points but after the change came into effect, I am just getting the points for one degree. All this is happening for my spouse points.

Funny thing is the CIC CRS score calculator is giving credit for two degrees and diploma but the EE is not. All this making a difference of 1 point to me. I am sure others must also have been affected by this.

Can you please share your views on this? Any solution to this?

Regards,

Hello Asivad Anac,

I have two questions concerning my education.

1) I did a 2.5yr master program in China. Should I input 3yr or 2yr for that?

2) My ECA report states "Credential: Master of Arts" and "Major/Specialization: English Language and Literature". Should I choose "English as a Second Language" or "Arts (Humanities/Social Sciences)" for my specialization when creating a EE profile?

Thank u very much for ur kind help!
