Hi everyone

while creating my EE profile i mentioned I didnt have ECA for my foreign education as WES was still processing the application.
And I still got the extra 20 points for it.
Because of those extra 20 points I got the ITA.
A few days after the ITA I received the ECA from WES.
The ECA says "Bachelors degree from a non-recognized institute"

In the PR application its asking me again if I have an ECA.
I am not sure what should I say and If I say yes and provide the ECA details how will it affect my application.

Please help ???

if you got points for education and your degree is not from Canada then you must show ECA!

But the ECA says its from a non-recognized institute.

How is that going to affect the PR application?

its not my fault they gave me points in spite of me saying no for ECA

:-\

Which means you need to recalculate your CRS score without your degree points, if it is below cut off score, I will advise you to decline the ITA.

It is not their fault but yours. The primary requirement for creating an express entry profile include an assessment of all post secondary credentials from WES. if you were successful in by passing the system due to some error, it is not their fault.
Anyway you will be only one responsible for any misrepresentation.
Suggest to decline ITA. good luck

Getting an ECA for all post secondary credentials in not a requirement for express.
If I decline the ITA will I have to create a new EE profile or can I edit the same one?

Why are you thinking about declining the ITA?
Does your ECA says
Canadian Equivalency summary is Bachelor's degree (3/4 years)
If it does say that then you should be good. Your credential Analysis should show the authentication, county, credential, year, canadian equivalency etc
non-recognized institute could just mean that your University is not accredited
So your university could have legal authority to enroll students and grant degress, but do not have educational accreditation for various reasons meaning it is Unaccredited

On my ECA it says

Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree from a non-recognized institution

And yes my university is in fact having a dispute with UGC in India with regard to the accreditation.

Almost borderline but I think you can still use this ECA report as it actually says it is a Bachelor Equivalency just that your university is not accredited.

Thats right too.
Actually I have gotten in touch with my university and they have provided me with the documents proving that they have the accreditation from UGC.
I have contact WES as well and they are reviewing my file again.
I dont understand what kind of processes is WES following for evaluation. I tried contacting their call centre but they are as useless as the CIC call centre. >:(

Do you have any canadian education?

if not decline your ITA and then update the ECA based on the reference number given by WES. And then wait for next draw

yes I do have a 3 years diploma from Canada

You don't need ECA for Canadian diploma. Was your bachelor degree completed after the diploma?

If so, you need to decline the ITA and fill up the right ECA details this time and wait for next draw

No. I did my bachelor's before the diploma
