Will Canada deny my visa denied because of a two-week overstay?

This is the second time I apply for a Canadian study visa
The first time I went to Canada, both my study permit and visa expired on August 13th. However, I ended up leaving Canada only two weeks later, on August 26th.
I did not mean to break any rule. I took too long to book my flight, and I needed an available date that would fit my budget. Also, I did not work or study past August 13th, only stayed there because my rent was already paid for the whole month.

Now I am filling out the application form, and it has the following question:
"Have you ever remained beyond the validity of your status, attended school without authorization or worked without authorization in Canada?"

I don't think it would be wise to lie to this question. How strict would they be over a 2-week overstay?
I've searched online for people with similar problems, but it is hard to find people actually telling what happened to them after they applied for the visa.

It Might very difficult to say but if you did inform the immigration about the same then this might not have been a problem.
Studying or working is not a problem overstaying is.
If you have overstayed its a big risk even for a day.
If you have not informed canada Immigration during the period of your overstay you might be in trouble.
But give it a try anyways and right a very strong SOP which states why you did what you did.

they wont do anything to u, as long as you have a good reason to come back, its only a problem if you were ordered to leave in 30 days and u did not leave, and you overstayed for over 6 months even though you did not get an order to leave.

Declare it and apply. Worse case scenario is that you won't get the visa. If you lie or dont apply then you wont get it anyway. So really nothing to lose in this situation.

Hello there

I also have the same problem but I leave Canada in 90 days after my visa expired. I didn't really know how to tell the immigration officer that I'm out of status. Before when I apply for my co op work permit, I applied by mail so I think I didnt get any info from them. I'm going to apply for my 2nd study permit and I said yes on my application. Do you think I need to put a short reason why I didn't apply for restoration ?

Thank you

Hi Vladmirgc,
Did you eventually get your second study permit and did you click yes that you overstay 2 weeks?
Hope to get your reply
