how does intra-company transfer works?? from the Philippines to Canada FOR SKILLED WORKERS.

- Does he/she needs permanent or temporary job offer from Canada Employer?

- Does LMO need as well for skilled worker?

- Need PDOS, POLO from POEA?

- How long it takes to process?

- Does he/she needs permanent or temporary job offer from Canada Employer?
The Canadian employer should be a subsidiary or a branch of your company here in the Philippines. The employee should be performing the same job that he is currently doing here. In my husband's case, they have a project there in Canada. The employee should be working for the company for at least 1 year before he can apply for intracompany work permit

- Does LMO need as well for skilled worker?
Intracompany transfer is LMO-exempt. This should always be the case but one of my husband's colleague's application was refused because the VO was requiring an LMO. My husband doesn't have one btw.

- Need PDOS, POLO from POEA?
I don't think this is necessary. My husband has an active Intracompany work permit in the US. When he went there for a project, he wasn't required to get those.


- How long it takes to process?
This one, not sure. We submitted the application last week of September. We had our medical last Oct 22 and it was forwarded to CEM last Oct 30. Until now, no updates yet from CEM. But we're hoping to get our visa by 2nd week of December

Please share your timeline here as well please..

Application submitted : 3rd week of September. No AOR received.
Medical Request : October 19, 2012
Medical Exam : October 22, 2012
Medical Result sent to CEM : October 30, 2012 per St. Luke's

Is the job offer stating the NOC number?

In regards to LMO-exempt, maybe it depends on VO i guess..
