Where all the files getting background done in first couple weeks, I am trying to understand if this indicate making the case non-routine????

From what I heard before, background complete means both security and criminality are complete.

Some people get it cleared instantly but because they batch request they might be completed in couple of days.

Some others might be waiting for security to clear out.

Usually few weeks to months.

There are cases where non-routine for physical presence, missing entries for example or suspecting residency fraud, or pending investigations.

But these are rare, usually non-routine is quality assurance or security.

How long it takes to have background complete status after FP? i have given FP on 18th Sept, no update yet anyone with similar timeline? I have seen a ghost update shows status update date 20th sept, and my AOR is 15 th sept..but there is no change on status. What should I assume from this!

aor 11 sep here. no update after that.I am in same boat as you with no fp request though. When I see everyone getting background done already, I fear against hope that my file is non routine although I have few travels in last 3 years. but who knows. fingers crossed. but seems things have slowed down tremendously from processing point of view

how you get to know what bg is completed on sep26 when tracker was not even updated. did you receive an email?
