January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Last update is March 24th! I hope I don’t have to wait 1 year for my citizenship. I already waited 1year and 7 months for my pr. I truly hope ircc doesn’t make me wait that long again.
 
No updates since 6th March, stuck at LLP stage as like many others in this group!
 
I have a feeling IRCC has completely deprioritized citizenship applications. Such a surprising decision given that this cohort will be eligible to vote soon. Def worth keeping in mind this was under the Liberal administration (Harpreet S. Kochhar, Rachel Bendayan)
 
I got an update today (April 24th, 2025) that the LPP has been marked completed on April 22, 2025.

Here is my timeline:
Jan. 2, 2025: I submitted my citizenship application
Application: Single-Online
Physical Presence Days: 1769
Location: Halifax
Jan. 16, 2025: AOR received from Sydney
Feb. 12, 2025: Background verification completed
Feb. 19, 2025: I received my invitation to complete an online citizenship exam (invitation sent from Montreal office)
Feb. 28 to Mar 29, 2025: Scheduled for citizenship exam
Mar 7, 2025: Took the exam online
Mar 12, 2025: Citizenship test completed
April 22, 2025: LPP completed
Waiting for citizenship ceremony

This is great! I’m glad there’s some movement. Thanks for sharing.

I submitted mine on Jan 30 and got AOR on Feb 14, so I’m guessing I have at least another month to wait for LPP if I were to use your timeline as a reference.

almost same as mine! from halifax as well! waiting for oath ceremony since April 16th!
