Apply to a visitor visa as a group or individually?

I am a permanent resident of Canada (soon to be a citizen) and I am inviting my brother, sister-in-law, their baby, my sister and my cousin from Egypt to visit me in Canada for a couple of weeks.
Now, I am not sure if it is best to increase chances of approval to apply for all of them as a group in one application? Or separately?

Brother, SIL and baby are one application, sister and cousin each have separate applications. Each show their own funds (Cash), travel history, family economic ties to return. You cannot group them together.

Would also start with 1 of the 3 applications. Either start with the one you care the most about or the one the most likely to be approved.

And keep in mind your invitation is just an invitation , it is an extremely small part of the application

They want to FOCUS on why they will LEAVE at the end of their trip

For your situation, the best approach is to apply for your brother, his wife, and their baby as one group family application, since they are a single household unit traveling together with the same itinerary and purpose. However, your sister and cousin should apply separately to avoid one weaker profile affecting the others—especially if their financial situations, travel histories, or ties to Egypt differ. IRCC assesses group applications collectively, so if one person appears likely to overstay or lacks strong ties to the home country, it can jeopardize the whole group’s approval.

The sister and cousin can’t apply as a group as cousins. It has nothing to do with one having a weaker profile.

Thank you everyone for the help. Now, that it seemsI need to do individual applications, can I do all of them from the same IRCC account? Or do I need to create an account for each application?

Best for Brother, SIL and baby one IRCC account , your sister and cousin each have their own account. Your sister and cousin are not dependants of your brother. Assume you are acting as their representative so make sure they fill out the form for you to do it on their behalf.

Thank you. So, you're saying if I act as their representative, I can apply to all of them from my IRCC account. Each individually of course but all applications from my account.

You are not an authorized representative with such an account. Each person has to fill out the form and sign it so you act on their behalf. They each set up an IRCC account. Not sure how you can do it for all of them given you need their bank statements, leases, marriage documents, business registration etc.

I have all those documents. They sent it all to me. I can translate them here in Canada and submit them as part of their applications.
