AlhamdoLILAH....finally got passport request.
They acknowledged medical on Feb 1 and then today Passport Request. 2 weeks gap for no reason.
Now I hope they return the passport also within 14 days.
Amazing amazing news. Waited for the day to hear this from you. I hope everything is smooth from now on. Have you ordered GCMS notes recently by any chance? I got mine and Security still hasn't started. Another question - after how many days of your medical expiry did you get IME request again? It's been almost 2 weeks since mine expired. No update.
Subhan-Allah - Passport was submitted to VFS Islamabad on Monday morning, and we got the email today that visa is approved and its on the way back to VFS. So my wife will pickup tomorrow.
3 days turnaround time for Passport? Glad at least they quickened on this one last step.
After i heard this news - i checked the GC tracker. They have finally updated all the fields. Background was done way back in 2023, which im discovering only now! And it was the eligibility which they finalized early this month right after medical. But honestly they delayed the processing with extra 7-8 months for absolutely no reason and asked for interivew for no reason. No additional docs requested - cuz every thing was provided from the start. Perhaps it was too much for them to digest. Yea, probably i overloaded their Chinook AI-software.
You mentioned you have recieved GCMS. any concerning notes in it?
If your medical is expired - and you haven't heard anything. I honestly can't say why? There are 2 things possible..(out of a zillion other things)
1-Interview? check your GCMS - has the officer written any such note about interivew requirement? If any such requirement is mentioned - pls dont leave it upto them to schedule the interview- get on their 'behind' and DEMAND to setup interview ASAP...
2-There could be a simple delay. You are aware that Family Visa targets have been reduced and they will only issue specific number of COPRs each month, so that only certain no. of people with Family Visa arrive in Canada each month. So that could be it.
3-Requesting for Re-Medical is not a must. The officer can simply proceed with the next step.
But honestly, after going through it all, I rather claim ignorance in all matters pertaining to IRCC. They literally have a wheel of fortune kind of thing, instead of fortun its Zillion Reasons, and they can throw anything at you just to delay the application.
I just hope im wrong on the above and you hear the good news today - that your Passport Request has arrived!

Guys anyone of you who submitted Nadra Divorce Certificate, can you please clarify to me what Date of Notice For Divorce and Entry Date is referring to. In our application, Date of Notice for Divorce is the date Union Council started divorce proceedings from my wife's ex husband and Entry date is 94 days later. The officer is saying that these dates must match which cannot if there must be 90 days reconciliation period. So the Officer is taking either the Date of Notice For Divorce or the Entry Date to mean something else. I would appreciate if anyone can confirm what points of Divorce are these two dates supposed to refer. Thanks

Issue Date is after our Marriage but Entry date is 10 years prior to our Marriage, as far as I believe Entry date means her divorce was registered 10 years prior hence. Our Marriage Registration shows her status Divorced but still the officer has concerns. I would appreciate if anyone clarify this. Thanks

Hi, I sponsored my spouse in January 2024. Medical was done in November and after that we received additional questions related to our marriage. We both are originally from Pakistan but I moved to Canada 10 years ago and now a Canadian citizen. Main question was related to "Rukhsati" which was not done as I live in Toronto. Since then no response from CIC . We ordered GCMS which shows last note stating "An interview is required to further assess the bona fides of the relationship" (dated December 18, 2024) but we have not received any letter about interview yet? Does anyone else have similar experience? Any idea how long it might take before an interview will be arranged?

We have seen a number of cases here where IRCC doesn't want to consider the marriage complete with nikkah only and wants to se that rukhsati has been completed as well. Can you get rukhsati done now and send the evidence to IRCC?
It usually takes maximum of 6 months. So if the visa officer put that interview requirement note in December, you will recieve an email from IRCC in May 2025 for an interivew date in June.
They send the email exactly 30 days before the interivew date.
In the meantime, if you have any documents, evidence of trip, or any other materials which you can share with IRCC which will provide more visual evidence that its a genuine relationship - pls send it asap and in the explanation letter - ask them to schedule the interivew asap cuz of current war sitaution. Interivews are usually done onlind over Zoom, specially in the current situation. IRCC officers from London office conduct the interivew and your spouse will be invited to Visa application center in pakistan - to sit infront of computer and respond to their questions.

Need guidance regarding filling out the outland spousal application. During the filling IMM5669. It is asking for fill out Schedule A. I am confused what to include in this. My spousal is a doctor in pakistan and worked as a government employe for 1 year in basic health unit , and now she is doing her training in general surgery in government hospital. Do I need to include that in government position section or it is only who those who worked as civil servants or judges considered?
