Hi @Miss bee, A friend of mind is going to apply for Non Express PR. He has a birth certificate from India, however most of the comments I see on the forum shows that IRCC does not want that type of birth identification. What are his options to prove his birth from India? Thank you.

I have applied for non-express entry OINP, received AOR, and submitted medical and biometrics. The application has not progressed since 8th Dec'2024. The tracker shows background verification is in progress. Do you have any suggestions on how can I get more clarity on this step, or how can I check the avg processing times on this step?

I noticed that my COPR details (document number, expiry date, and travel document info) are now showing in my IRCC tracker. However, my GCKey still says "We are reviewing your eligibility." The tracker shows Eligibility not started yet.


What does this mean??? Would appreciate any insights from those who have been through this process! Thanks!

I’ve been waiting for Nomination in Nova Scotia for 1.5 year now!!
My work permit was s expiring next month! What your suggestion?

My guess is you'd get good news really soon! My eligibility status didn't change at all, even after I received FD/P1/P2, so did my gckey. It's pretty normal. Can you see FD date in your gckey?

There are delays between all passed to FD/FD to P1/P1 to P2 nowadays. But if you've seen your copr details in tracker, it's possible to get your P1 this week. Good luck!

Firstly saw FD and then received P1 the very next day. Copr info is available on the same day as P1 or the next day; I can't remember exactly. There are huge delays in issuing ecopr, so they might hold off issuing new portal confirmations rn. This is just my assumption. I've seen people waiting for P1 for 1-2 weeks. Any time sooner would be great, wouldn’t it?

PNP nomination is a lottery which not guaranteed

The Winnipeg office is extremely slow! 300 days ago, I submitted my non-ee documents. Eligibility passed, but I am still waiting for a background check!

ecopr is the final wrap-up of your PR status, while copr is only a preview of your PR details. copr showing up on your tracker usually means your PR is approved, but it’s not official until confirmed by a landing officer. Some cases require additional documents after P2 occasionally. Rarely, but not 0.

I personally think of ecopr as more like a visa stamp, whereas copr on tracker is just an FYI. Trust the process and enjoy your life. Good news will come to your inbox soon.
