I’m assuming you had to submit your fingerprints recently. If so, they have received them as they would not have processed your background check without it. LPP will most likely be completed in the next few weeks, maybe a month. If they’re moving quickly it could all happen as early as next week.
Thanks! I had an interview in-person with an officer. The interaction was very pleasant, but I lost a beat when the officer said I did not declare a visit, and asked to see my passport, took a copy of it, asked about my physical presence. I was surprised because I am usually very meticulous. Maybe the calculator itself had a bug, or maybe i really did make an error. Either case, even with the correct numbers, I am thankfully over the 1095 days needed. They said that my FP was still pending, and yet, today, I called RCMP and they said that the FP was sent to IRCC. So a bit of a confusion there. I was told I have been put under Scarb for oath, could be in person or online. But I am not sure when this oath will be. I assume that because the officer mentioned this, it is good news?

I was thankful to the officer and left. As soon as I left I had a ton of other questions swimming in my head, (such as how long will it take...etc.) which I wished I had asked. I think I was in a daze, on auto pilot during the interview.

There was a GU today.

Sounds like you should be seeing an update soon. Maybe by end of day or tomorrow. IRCC won’t necessarily update the portal to say they’ve received your FP from RCMP but the background check will be updated once they’ve received it so you should be fine. All the best!

So strangely my background check was updated before I met with the officer. When I met with the officer, I was told they are still waiting for FP. Test, background, are the only things showing as completed. Rest are in process. I was not asked to show my original IELTS records as I assume our interaction was sufficient to prove my English language capabilities.

I hope what you say manifests itself!
