Hi, i am also from Moncton, waiting on the ceremony. Do you think they possibly could wait for certain amount of applicants from our area before scheduling the ceremony ?
They have one scheduled in Fredericton for March 21.

I don't know how they make decisions so you're probably right. I'm from Saint John. We can try to find people from NB (or other provinces) who were scheduled for this specific ceremony and ask their locations and timelines.
It's kinda silly isn't it? If they have the virtual option, why not invite people for different areas to full the oath ceremony? Isn't that one of the benefits of visual events? Breaking down geographical barriers? Sounds silly to hold applicants hostage until there are enough local applicants to justify an in-person ceremony.
@lol9451, I applied from Moncton, NB and my oath has been scheduled for April 09, 2025. Awaiting the email to know location details.
Well that disproves my theory then. When were your LPP completed if thats fine to ask? Edit: sorry I checked your LPP in your prev replies.

I don't know their algorithms and procedures. Normally I prefer to analyze and process real data, instead of guessing.
Hello, wanted some of your thoughts on this. My background check was completed today. But Prohibitions, Physical presence, language skills still show in progress. Test was marked as completed within a week of completing it. How long does prohibitions take if background was cleared? I am not even sure if they got my fingerprints sent to IRCC as I heard there is shortage of staff?
I wasn't guessing, merely making an observation. It is odd to have people waiting on oath scheduling when there is a virtual option. Ircc can literally host several sessions a week virtually and there would be no scheduling delay once LPP has been cleared.
Same here, Feb 14th was the last update date for LPP (Completed), MTL office as well and based in Moncton
