Yeah, this isn't normal. You should've received the AOR by now. Please call IRCC and ask them to track your file. I'm Feb 20th and haven't received AOR. If I don't get it this week, I'll call them.

I just called them. They said their usual BS that they are very busy now. They took down all the info and ask the office for an update... I told them that right now they are processing applications sent on Feb 24th... Same BS...

A friend of mine applied in February 2024 and completed her test six months later. However, there has been no significant update on her application since then. Interestingly, another friend who applied in October 2024 was already sworn in on March 3 of this year. My friend has a daughter who turned 18 during the process, but I believe there is a lock-in date that should apply. We’ve contacted immigration twice, but each time we receive the same response: "We will contact the office in charge." It’s a strange situation, and I can’t help but think that the specific officer handling the case might play a significant role in the delays.

I need your inputs on the issue I am facing for my citizenship application. A bit of history here:


1st Submission:

Type: Online
Date of Submission: Feb12, 2025
IRCC Application Incomplete Notification on: Feb 26, 2025
Reason: Accidentally, one of my ID proofs (Canada Driver's License) that I had attached was an expired one. I was asked to attach a valid ID proof and resubmit the application.


2nd Submission:

Type: Online
Date of Submission: Feb 26, 2025
IRCC Application Incomplete Notification on: Mar 11, 2025
Reason: So damn confusing. Its below

I triple checked all my other supporting documents / letters and all of them are specifically on my name and referencing only my details with my name on it. There is no one else's private information in my application.

Has anyone heard about this type of request or have experienced a similar incomplete reason? I am confused on what is the 'real' issue?

Same here. I called them and they said my application isn't in the system even though I got a submission confirmation email + portal confirmation. I think my online application got lost in their system and I'll have to reapply. Lol incompetent IRCC as usual.

Were they at least able to find your application and did they at least give you a temp application number?

Double-check all your documents, did you accidentally upload someone else's doc? Maybe a driver's license, health card or anything like that? My sympathies are with you. IRCC is a highly incompetent department, they told me they 'lost' my online application in the system, lol.

According to other threads in this forum:
Some applicants who :
- had a representative when they got PR some years ago; and then
- now submitted their citizenship application themselves;
IRCC sent AOR of chitizenship application to their formar representative's email for some reason or another.
If you had a representative or alternate email you used before upon contacting IRCC, try to see them...

When you call IRCC, they took down all the info about your application and ask the office for an update? If so, I think your call was worth because it may discover whether your application was received successfully or something went wrong upon transmission. Fingers crossed for your AOR.
