In Process ecas Citizenship Application Status Tracker : March 01, 2025
Ghost update (*): March 07, 2025
Citizenship Test: Waiting

No email received.
I found my citizenship tracker shows "Updated: March 7, 2025". "New update" label was appeared under "Application history" section, and my existing progress "Feb 27, 2025 Application filed" was followed by "new update" label. But everything are the same as before, even lines with "new update" labels.
I think it is ghost update?
i had similar situation yesterday and today i got my background check updated

Hello everyone,

I applied as a family (me and my wife). My application is being updated (background and the citizenship test ) and hers hasn't been updated yet. Is this normal?

Thanks!

I saw many applicants in this forum experienced similar: some of them have passed background/test/language/prohibition but other family member had not... or vice versa.
I think it is quite normal.

She is over 55 and doesn't need to take the citizenship test. I have seen some messages that this type of application has different updates. I am not sure if this is true.

Maybe she rides on a boat of "different updates" , or may not. looks like a couple of January 2025 applicants got oath invite within 1.5 months since AOR, and they are 54+ . I'm not sure either though.

Or, if rumors across this forum are correct, background check is done at RCMP.
RCMP's webpage mentions that their processing time is 3 days if there is no match to a criminal record. But if not, it will take 120 days.
https://rcmp.ca/en/criminal-records/criminal-record-checks/processing-times-and-fees

Hope your BG will be marked as complete soon.

It has been quite some time and I didn't hear back anything yet. Anyone on the same boat as me?
