Had an interview with an officer on 27 Feb and the status of LPP was changed to completed on March 1 and since then, no update on the ceremony. The most dysfunctional org I have ever seen so far. When I applied, the processing time was 5 months and i’m already beyond that time frame and the people who applied in December with 7 months processing time, already applying for their Canadian passport. I see that this incompetent org is messing up the oath ceremonies as well. People have been waiting for the past two months for their oath and this org can get their shyt together.
My LPP was done 29th Jan and no oath yet.

I have an urgent issue if anyone can help: I applied on Oct 02, and on Feb 20
Citizenship ceremony was updated to “in progress” and in the application history: I was told that I have been scheduled to attend my citizenship ceremony on March 11, 2025 and asked me to follow the instructions I will receive in my ceremony invitation. We are on March 05, I have not yet received such email (I keep checking my email and spam folder, nada) I started calling the 1-(888)-242-2100, no luck no is is picking even when I call at 8 am, I have sent a web form but I think it takes like a month to respond. I am in Montréal, I will take any help or advice I can get, I was getting to the finish line.

You can probably try calling now. I’m in queue waiting for a call back or try calling around 4pm.

Becoming a citizen is a privilege not a right. This is coming across as entitled. The current processing time as of yesterday is 9 months. Processing times change. If you applied in October you haven’t been waiting that long. Remember, is a privilege not a right.

Hello members, I was able to access the citizenship tracker until last week. I can't access it when I enter my credentials for the past couple days.
Please confirm if this only me having this issue or is this universal? Thanks in advance.

As long as Background is completed, Everyone waiting for LPP to be completed or waiting for OATH to be scheduled (especially ones stuck with MTL) should start emailing the processing office directly and submit webforms asking for an update.

It doesn't harm to check-in and remind them that your application exist. What does harm is not asking at all.

I called IRCC yesterday and i was told my LPP still hasn't been started but she said the file had been opened a few hours before so it could be starting. my background was completed in January. I'm really confused about how they do things because december applicants are already having their applications completed so how come september and october are still waiting for LPP? it's really frustrating. But nothing to do but wait.

I'm in Montreal as well - My LPP was completed on 5 February and since then no updates, with Oath Ceremony still marked as "Not Started". So its been more than a month for me. How long after your LPP did your tracker change to "In Process"? (Just want to get an idea whether I should get ready to wait for another month at least...

Could I ask you how long was it between your LPP being marked as "Completed" in the Tracker and your Oath Ceremony being marked as "In Process"?
