I would really like to know if anyone who was told by RCMP that February 21st was their mailing date for FPR has gotten Background marked complete. I have not. I would also like to know the VO. Mine is Vancouver (transferred from Calgary as confirmed by IRCC).

Hi I gave FP on Feb 21 and no update so far. Also no update in the tracker. Did you call RCMP? Is there a long queue on the call? if not I will give them a call today. Thanks in advance.

On the same boat as you, VO transferred to Vancouver and submitted FP on Feb 6th, but no updates on the tracker yet.

If you gave FP on Feb 21, you're not really in the same cohort, since you wouldn't have gotten yours approved until Feb 24 (this is a good thing for you). Ours were delayed in a large batch. However, I'm guessing Vancouver has gotten and is getting a lot at once.

You can call RCMP and it usually takes 10-30 minutes. They can tell you the status with your DCN. More than likely, yours has already been mailed.

You can call IRCC to find out your primary, secondary, and events visa offices.

I would still be interested when your BG gets marked complete, especially if your primary VO is Vancouver (where your prints were mailed).

Call the Indian embassy or consulate here in Canada. They are your best bet for getting the most accurate information.

I got an email on 27th Feb to submit some documents and I replied to the same email with the documents requested, but still no update in the tracker. Any idea how many days it can take?

Here is what the tracker says :

Update - my tracker updated today to show BG verification complete, but under the history looks like it was done on Feb 28th.

I think that's pretty common, that the tracker updates a few days after the date it was 'done' (at least for some of the fields). And possibly a few more eg if gaps over a weekend. No idea why so long; possibly some type of approval that's distinct from the process being complete and that being done in batches (but only a guess).

FP submitted on 1st Feb, raised a webform on 24th Feb to enquire about lack of updates. Got an email response on 28th Feb mentioning that FP has been received on 14th Feb. They also updated the LS & PP on the tracker as completed on 26th Feb(maybe my enquiry triggered action). Now only Background and Prohibitions show in-progress...shouldn't BG have been completed since its been ~18 days since FP have been received? Should I call RCMP ? my VO is Vancouver

Btw, all steps in my wifes application are now marked complete, she was not asked for FP, her LS & PP were updated on 26th Feb along with mine. Since I was primary in our Family(4) application, she is stuck along with me & kids.

Background marked complete in tracker today (Mar 4). Shows date completed Feb 28.

I was in FPR cohort that got stuck at RCMP from at least Feb 7 to Feb 21.
