I applied for permanent residence (PR) with my spouse, who is outside Canada, in February 2022. I received my PR in November 2023, and my spouse received a pre-arrival letter and medical request in December 2023. It’s now January 2025, and we haven’t heard anything regarding my spouse’s application. The visa office in Lebanon and the Canadian embassy there haven't provided a clear timeline.
Has anyone else experienced delays like this? The embassy never gives a specific timeframe, and I’m looking for advice on what steps to take next. Anyone still waiting specifically from Lebanon

Yes my principle aplucant get pr 2024 24 april applied on may 2022 spouse got medical request on martch 2024 pre arival 1st may 2024 medical pass September 2024 after that no newes.

If you have dependents abroad you may receive email information you that their file has been transferred to Visa Office assigned to your country of origin
and then you will wait for P1,P2, eCorp and PR Card consecutively.
its a black hole i am waiting since 2021, primary applicant got COPR in 2024 Mach, my medical and biomateric was done in 2022 and expired and then they re-new it themself, i got pre arrival in december 2024 still waiting no update till then VO office is Ankara, btw the new processing time is 51 months which will end in Nov 2025, so whenever i contact them they said i am still in processing time period.

Hopefully all is going well it's a hard time waiting a lot but the patience our strength I have a question if any been through this my wife dependants in my pr application she been asked by ircc to submit a Police Certificate they sent instructions letter how to submit but isn't clear please can you help me how I can submit a Police certificate please note that the responsible ircc office it's overseas so I can't use my portal to send and also the file of my wife has been transferred to responsible office overseas

its not that difficult you didn't mention where you dependants are located. in that email they give you the link to check the process in your country. i am sharing it for you here

select your country and apply it once you have it reply to that email and also sent a webform.
Hi Thanks for replying I really I appreciate that I want to clarify that the Police Certificate I know how I got it in fact I apply on ready and hopefully soon will have it my question is that how I can send Police Certificate to ircc it's by email or through Webform or may I do both so like that they’ll for sure have it
but this one is a dependants overseas even I Don't have access to application that's why

reply to that email and sent a webform as i mention, usually when depandent received any email there is an email address to reply.

I called the call center because both my file and my dependent’s file have completed the background check. However, there is a medical exam outstanding for my dependent. The call center agent advised me that he should take the medical exam in advance. Have any of you heard about this?
