If AIP is 'Approved in principal', then no I haven't received any documents stating such


My application is processed as inland, both my partner and I live and work in Ontario

AIP = approved in principal but it's the letter to say you passed the eligibility to be sponsored under family class
i think you got it in Oct

It is ridiculous. Yes, those updates got from the tracker. Nothing was updated—only ghost updates. So bad. I even looked at the web inspect. Under the relationship section, I see the 'key' is 709. The ''Actions'' section show empty. So weird, which means they did nothing on my case, just opened it.

I can understand the delay due to BGC but it can't be this slow. For context, Outland applications are so much faster. I haven't gotten any updates at all in my tracker since October 2024. I got Sponsor Approval on Jan 24, 2025, but nothing after that yet. Here's my timeline for just your reference.

Good morning all, I received my GCMS notes last night and under 'ASSESSMENTS' it states 'Security' and 'Criminality' as 'Not Started' (both were separate records/rows)
If it's true that PR applications are completed in batches, it's possible that applications submitted around the same time as mine are in the same boat.

Same here. Got my PAL Sep 27th together with ADR. So far security not started Criminality completed. PVO Winnipeg

I honestly do not understand why they don't just start the security and get it done quickly

That is only for Sowp... They process Work permit so quick... but for PR, I think they just approve certain amount per year now

I got an approval letter from SOWP, but the type is permit - wp-ext / permis - pt-pror. Does anybody have the same one? I have a valid open work permit which ties in with my study permit and my employer is my school. As I do not maintain an International student status, I applied for SOWP by myself.
My concern is the IRCC may just extend my current one. What I need is a new status while waiting for PR. I just do not wanna pay high tuition fees!!! I hope they give me the correct one and no need to go back to school!!!!
