Yes, I know some people have been waiting for over a year, but we applied on June 4th and our background check is still in progress. Many people who applied after us have already received their P1-P2 emails, and some have even received the eCOPR. It's frustrating and ridiculous. We've been waiting for 81 days in the background verification stage, and there's been no update. I've called 2-3 times, and they say they'll get back to us. We are a family of three, and when we applied, the processing time was 13 months, so we're already 8 months behind. I hope we receive our PR card before June. I wish everyone patience and good luck.

AOR is regularly taking 5+ months nowadays. People from that applied in late August are receiving AOR this past few days.

Okay, thanks for replying.

I have another question, my OINP Nomination is expiring on 22nd March 2025. Is it okay if I receive AOR after that date or is it something that needs to be updated before the expiration date?

Yes, nomination certificate is valid for 6 months, it can be extended if required. This validity is applicable for a user to submit the application. Once you have submitted the application, timer running on your certificate is stopped. You don't need to worry when you get AOR.
Hope it helps.

Hi there guys,

I have an urgent inquiry. I submitted my application for NON-EXPRESS ENTRY on January 29th, 2025. I just realized now that there is a very small mistake in the file translation on my birth certificate, the translator wrote down the wrong serial number for my BC. So, instead of being the actual number on my BC (e.g. 12345) they added an extra number (912345). I did not notice the mistake when sending the application, since I was checking mostly for spelling errors not number errors. It appears to be the only mistake they made. But now I am afraid that my application might be rejected because of that.

I would appreciate your suggestions regarding this matter, I applied not too long ago so until I receive my AOR it's still going to be at least 5-6 months. Should I submit a webform with a corrected translation? If so, do I have to wait until I receive AOR to do that?

Thanks a lot for any feedback that you can provide!

It won't be any issue. Your application won't get returned due to this error.

I have a question related to PCC. So when we applied we gave them local PCC from india not the one from BLS . So when they'll issue AOR they'll ask for another PCC ? What documents they demand after aor ?

Hello,

My PGWP expires in November 2025. I received my AOR recently and considering the processing time of 21 months, I'll have my PR by April/May 2026 timeframe. From what I've read so far, the general suggestion is to apply for BOWP ~3 months prior to the PGWP expiration. My questions is more for my dependents (spouse and kids). If I apply for BOWP in August 2025 (90 days before PGWP expires), I believe I'll have to wait for my BOWP to be approved in order to apply for my dependents permits (open work and study) as their permits also expired in November 2025.

Appreciate your inputs. Thanks for the help!
