Hello everyone,
My Wife applied her Open work permit extention in jun2024 on the basis of my open work permit but no decision till date and I called to IRCC they said that because it is a group application it is taking time.

Can please anybody tell
1. What is the meaning of group application

2. Anybody IN or WENT through the same situation and got decision who applied for open work permit extention in jun2024 on the basis of spousal open work permit

I will be very thankful to everyone who help me

Just for reference, I had applied for SOWP extension on 24th July,got BVL on 5th February and approval on 7th February.Processing time 198 days

Hi, can you please tell me how are you reaching the IRCC? No representative picks the call. The automatic call ends saying, "so many calls etc etc."

You can find IRCC number on Google or to www.cic.gc.ca very easily

You have to be on hold for 30 to 40 mintues then agent will definitely take your call and help you out.

when i call there is an automatic call. Gives me ootions from 0-9. Asks for the application number etc etc. But no option to reach any person, the call disconnects itself.

That's the correct number.
I had word with IRCC on the same number.
I will tell you tomorrow to which option you can select to talk to agent and let me know if that worked for you or not.

That is the Biometric Validation Letter, you normally receive it before receiving approval letter.

I checked for you by calling IRCC number
You dont need to enter UCI
Just press Option 2
Then Option 3
Then Option 1
Then Option 2
Then Option 1
Then Option 0

The line will connect to IRCC Agent

Dont forget to Call them in working hours
