Need advice on PR application stuck in comprehensive security check.

Inland CEC application has been stuck in security in progress since December 2024. My current work permit expires Late 2026. I am getting married soon ( wife is in other country) so here are my questions if anyone can answer TIA.

1.) for my wife do I create PR sponsorship while my application is still open or should I apply work permit for her?

2.) when should I apply for bowp? I have 1 year and 6 months left in my current work permit so there is good amount of time left.

1. You can't sponsor your wife since you aren't a PR. However, you can add her to your existing application - you both will be approved together. Since you are in comprehensive security screening, adding her won't add much time to your application which is expected to be slow moving.
2. Check processing times for BOWP and apply according to that.
