Hello Everyone, you can add the experience, but be ready to justify to IRCC on why you never added this before. It is upto an officer to decide whether this is a misrepresentation or not. For most who add exp that they never mentioned before, their application processes normally like how anyone else's would.
With the recent trend i have seen they will surely ask you for explanation about this and even would charge you with mis-interpretating your file which would likely lead toHi All,
When I initially came to Canada on Study permit, I didn't provided information about foreign work experience when applying for study permit. I have also applied for co-op and PGWP those application didn't contain foreign work details as well, so If I were to use that experience now as part of EE would there be any complication or query on why I never provided that experience before.? If CIC were to enquire about that what should my answer be.?
Thanks
Hi, Please can you help me? I have received ITA yesterday and i am claiming points for my foreign work experience which i did not showed in work history section while applying for study and work permit. Shall i accept ITA? The work experience is genuine and i have employer/owner support in terms of providing all documents from pay slips, letter of employment, and also salary was paid in cash (so explanation of that is also will be included as it did less than eligible tax slab). My FWE is is admini assitant and Canadian work exp is also admin/HR assistant.you can add the experience, but be ready to justify to IRCC on why you never added this before. 1. Additional documents requirements from them
2 they directly rejecting your application.
You can file for an appeal then and consult a lawyer.
I just saw someone's file get rejected yesterday even though they submitted Tax returns, paystubs and even offer letter. You better have at least employment letter, bank statements, and your firm must be available while googling, T4, paystubs.
To accept or not is your own decision. The advice stays the same. IRCC can look at it as misrep or maybe they'll not do so - upto the officer and should be based on how you justify. If you purposefully hid it, that's misrep and upto IRCC on how they view this.Hi, Please can you help me? Also, about your cash salary + tax slab + no pattern of deposits in bank every month - you would be in a weaker position. Even for jobs that don't have tax slabs (I'll give you an example of India), they have something like ESIC which can be used to show that you were enrolled on a payroll. Also, it is about entirety of the evidence of having a job as well. For example, job offer acceptance email, resignation email, etc all are a part of this evidence.
Best of luck in your application, take all the help you can (talk to Immigration lawyers).
Tbh, trust an immigration lawyer over any of us here. We aren't regulated, nor we studied anything formally - hence, lawyer's advice >>>> a forum's advice. Is it advisable to decline ITA and then remove FWE and then wait for ITA without FWE. I will submit my new ITA (if i get one) with FWE in personal history? I talked with IRCC customer service agent over call who said even if i do that there is still a chance if of officers asking why i did not show in my study and work permit. IRCC over call said it's upto officer but if i provide all documents and be truthful that you were not aware to provide this FWE in your study and work permit and now you are being truthful. IRCC person over call said as long as you provide all truthful documents and give all information there is no misrepresentation. my only fear is since I am claiming points for this FWE misrepresentation as i did not show in study and work permit. but if i decline ITA and then do not claim points for FWE but show it in personal history i think it will not impact much! Please share your thoughts. Currently I am on implied status as i applied for visitor's record as my last visitor record expired on jan 23, 2025. my work permit expired on jan 23, 2024. And yes I am taking lawyer hep but also wanted to know your opinion as i see you are a VIP member here and more experienced.

If you reject this ITA and you never claim this FWE, you might never get another ITA again. Law of competition tells us that CRS will only inflate over the years.
If you accept this ITA and are caught with misrep, your application can be rejected, you can also get banned.
So, do what your lawyer says. If your lawyer feels confident that you can go through this, follow their advice!
Honestly I asked different lawyers and all of them sound different. Some say don't accept ITA as its risky even if you have docu. since IRCC is strict now and some lawyer are saying yes IRCC is giving PFL but risk can still be taken.
Thank you for you help. I really appreciate it.
The delay could be due to several reasons including your work experience.Hi guys I did not mention my foreign experience in my study permit, but included it in my WP and TRV and also in Express Entry profile, After getting ITA with points of foreign experience my lawyer asked me not to take any risk and asked me not to claim points for it since my CRS score is well above cut off even after removing it. However I have included my experience in personal history and provided certificate as well. But my file is stuck under security screening since August 2024, will that be because of this? I am undergoing through a lot of stress right now as most of my friends who applied with me got their PR Card ( May AOR) . Appreciate any input. Thanks
Nobody can anticipate the outcomeI have not got any PFL or ADR in this case though I filed my application in May. It’s been 9 -10 months now for CEC inland single application
