Hello everyone,
Please I need your help here. My file was transferred to Etobicoke for processing in June.

Last month September, I received a procedural fairness letter requesting for 15 documents. I have provided most of the documents and yesterday I received pre-arrival service letter and also police certificate.

Does the pre arrival letter equates acceptance of my documents/application?

My application is an Inland spousal application.

I

wanted to get an idea how long it will take so tensed
Hi Priya - no body in this forum can tell you how long the processing will take. I hope it gets done by next week. And yes, the haphazard way things are going on right now - you never know.
Someone's application is taking 20 months - for absolutely NO REASON - and someone's application is done within 6-8 months.

Some things which may help are: GCMS Notes and YOUR REVIEW of the application -
If you haven't done so - REQUEST GCMS notes. It only takes $5 but takes 30 days. Those notes may give you some kind hint of what caused the application to be sent to Etobicoke. But officers wont always write the reasons on the file.

2nd and most importantly - Please review the application which you have submitted. Go over it again. Try to be in the IRCC officer's shoes and check if you have missed anything. Or is there any information you provided which is lacking in detail. If there is any thing like that - quickly send A LETTER OF EXPLANATION through webform. Tell them clearly, and briefly, that while reviewing the application you found out this issue - on so and so form no. or whehre... and here's the full explanation. Write that explanation, preferably point wise - so that you clearly and succintly mention where the mistake happened - and whats the correct info.
If possible and required - provide proof of the document, or reciept or picture. Just anything that will give more credibility than your words.

I noticed you mentioned the may ask for Bank Statement. There is a whole lot of reasons why they may ask that. And if you have gone through the application guide - you'd know when and why they ask for Bank Statements. I dont know much about your application - so i can't comment.

Its tough to wait and guess during the application process, specially when it takes a turn towards Etobicoke OR it takes longer than the usual processing time. As long as you have been honest and truthful in your application - dont get tensed. The only wrong thing that may happen is the application may get delayed because of lack of info - and by being proactive you can alter that processing time.

Wishing you the best.

I wanted to ask about how much time PR will take. Bank statement is a another question which I will get to it later thanks
Oh I completely agreed with @InfoSeeker12 here. Have you linked your application with gckey and/or PR tracker? that might give you some ideas. Have you done any medical exam or biometrics? did you get AIP or PA? that should help determine which stage you are in now. No one can say for sure about the timeline.
