I applied for my parents super visa and it got refused in 15 days saying the inviter's income doesn't meet LICO requirements. While my income far exceed the LICO requirement. The only thing is when I applied, there was a question like Which documents are you using to prove that your child or grand child meets the LICO requirements ? So, I selected NOA and Employment Letter from employer. But NOA is of 2023 taxation year and in that year, my salary was 45000 CAD. But, I also submitted the latest employment verification letter in which I provided latest salary which is about 87000 CAD. Family size is 4 and for that LICO requirement is approx. 65000 CAD. So, I don't know why they refused the application. Should I reapply with the same document but adding the explanation of my increased salary. Should I have to pay the fees again ? Please guide me what should I do ?. Thank you.

Yes, it is me, my wife, and both parents. I don't want to wait till I get NOA. It will take another 2-3 months. I wanted to invite them in this year only before winter comes. Can I reapply with an explanation letter ? Do I need to pay the fees again ?
You can try but it is not changing anything. IRCC wants NOA to meet LICO. It may just give your parents a second refusal, and applying immediately after first refusal raises ”red flags” for IRCC as being desperate to visit Canada. When did you become PR?
I got my PR in 2022 January. Even I will have my latest employment verification letter, they are going to need NOA ? Can I apply for visitor visa instead ? Because of the new visitor visa rules, I thought applying for super visa would be a better idea as they are no longer providing default 5 years visa.
They can apply for TRV showing their own funds, travel history and ties to return.

Take a year off from work , my NOA will say zero
They want an NOA stating this s how much made you MADE
OK I understood. So, I should apply for visitor visa then. Because even if I wait for NOA, my current salary was increased in the last 5 months only so after calculating the average income, the new 2024 NOA might not even in the favor of LICO requirement. So, visitor visa would be good option. Thank you.
Include your 2023 NOA and 3-4 months of pay slips showing the increased salary, preferably your final payslip of 2024 showing last years income above the LICO requirements. If you got your increase in December 2024, expect a tough battle proving you met LICO in 2024.
Yes I did that. I uploaded 2023 NOA and also uploaded my latest Employment Verification Letter and last 6 months pay stub which has updated increased salary and it still got refused. I can clearly see this is officer’s fault that they didn’t look at the documents that I submitted and just look at the NOA and refused the application.
So it has to be the updated NOA and IRCC don’t consider employment verification letter as a proof of LICO requirement ? Is that what you want to say ?
NOA is definitely the preferred document because that should list your complete income for the year. You can try with a detailed income summary from your HR but at this point would probably wait until you have your NOA2024.
Yes, that's what I think as well. I'm going to wait for 1 month to get all the T4 and file the tax asap and get the NOA to reapply. I hope that works. Do you know what's the processing time ? It's showing 120 days online. Is it true or people get it earlier for super visa ?
