Unable to add EPIC number under the profile to submit the form 7. The name is exactly as shown on the voter id. When I clicked on check next to EPIC number, it shows error: mobile number not added to the E-roll. I wonder what mobile number has to do with EPIC. I registered on that portal as non resident user, and only email id was required. The profile says 000000 in the mobile number. Does anyone know how to fix it?

You can fill form 7 for anybody. When you try to fill form 7, it will ask you if it is for yourself or someone else. Click someone else and provide the relevant EPIC number to be cancelled.
Please note, there is no provision to upload any documents while submitting form 7. My first form 7 application was rejected stating that no documents were provided. I filled form 7 again and once I received acknowledgement number, I created a complaint/support ticket to specify that I want to remove my name but form7 doesn't have provision to upload files, I am attaching my surrender certificate to the support ticket along with the acknowledgement of form 7.
It worked out and my name was removed from electoral list successfully.
Hi Everyone, I have submitted the OCI on Jan8th BLS status is showing as "Processing at high commission" & OCI as "Under process" before submitting the OCI application, I had deleted Voter ID card online on Form 7. However, when I checked the voter id deletion status it shows as " BLO assigned" what does that mean? Anyone from this group knows about this status and next steps?
I recently submitted form 7 online to remove my name from the voter list. I got an update that the form has been rejected because of "Wrong form fill". I rechecked the submitted form and everything was correct. I am from Delhi NCR region. Did they reject the form because of the Delhi elections coming up? Anyone else who faced the same issue?

Here is what i got to know from process, from BLO Assigned, usually the BLO will do physical verification at the address. You can reach out to you BLO, usually when you search you EPIC ID , you will have that information for your Ward/Area.
Submitted --> BLO Assigned --> Field Verification Done --> Accepted/Rejected
Hi ,I submitted my application of (4 people)on Nov 19 (ottawa)and then on nov 21 it was updated to under processing at consulates and after that no update .

As of now, no update. Not sure why it is taking long time for Ottawa People. lol

The process established by the MEA is absolutely absurd. I've been waiting for two months to have my phone number linked so I can access Form 7 online, but it still hasn't happened. I've followed up multiple times with the BLO and ERO, but there's been no progress. Karnataka is undoubtedly the most corrupt state.
The MEA needs to fix this Voter ID surrender process and make it simpler. There should be an easy-to-use portal for people who are surrendering their Voter ID, not trying to obtain one. Overseas citizens should be able to fill in their details and upload their surrender certificate, Voter id details online to have their Voter ID deleted or surrendered. Instead, we're forced to deal with local corrupt officials, and if there's no election in your area, you can't reach these officials for months
Fill in form 8 to update and link phone number. It's online and instantaneous. Once the phone number is linked you can download your EPIC and perform all other operations.
