Hello,

hope you are doing well, how do you check they are processing Aug 9th ? I submitted on September 15, so wanted to know as well.

thank you
It took exactly 5 months for me to get the AOR on 23rd Dec 2024. This was when the processing timeline was 12-13 months. Now they have increased the timeline to 20 months. So not sure how it's going to affect the processing. So be patient and keep your fingers crossed.

Hi @Miss bee - Hope you are doing well.
I have recently registered with Canada Visa and appreciate if you could please guide/advise on the following matter.

I submitted my PR application via the Non Express Entry IRCC portal on 23rd Sep 2024 along with application fees. Further I received an Email from the IRCC that my application has been submitted successfully and you may expect the acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) in sometime.
It has been almost more than 4 months since I submitted my PR application and I haven't received the acknowledgement of receipt so far and further instructions from IRCC if any.
I have checked my Junk or spam folder to ensure I haven't missed any communication from IRCC.
Kindly guide and help me us to know

a) Should I wait for submit webform enquiry to know the status or wait for some additional time? If wait, how long should I wait?
b) how I can know the status of my application in absence of Application Number that will be assigned after Acknowledgement of Receipt.

Kindly guide. An early reply will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Guys I need your help!!!!

What are the documents requirements for non-accompanying spouse that we have to proivde?
When applying for permanent residence (PR) through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) via the non-Express Entry process, it's s crucial to declare all family members, including a non-accompanying spouse. This ensures that you retain the ability to sponsor them in the future. The specific documentation required for a non-accompanying spouse includes:

1. Proof of Relationship:
Marriage Certificate: A copy of your official marriage certificate.
For Common-Law Partners: If applicable, provide a Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409) to establish the relationship.

2. Additional Forms:
Schedule A Background/Declaration (IMM 5669): This form requires detailed personal history and background information.

Additional Family Information (IMM 5406): This form collects information about your immediate family members, including your spouse
3. Identification Documents:
Passport Copies: Clear copies of your spouse passport pages showing their photo, personal details, and any amendments.

National Identity Card: If applicable, a copy of your spouse national ID card.

4. Civil Status Documents:
Divorce or Death Certificates: If your spouse was previously married, provide divorce decrees or death certificates to confirm the end of prior marriages.

5. Police Certificates:
Your non-accompanying spouse may be required to provide police certificates from countries where they have resided for six months or more since turning 18. This is to ensure admissibility and security clearance.

6. Photographs:
Recent passport-sized photographs of your spouse that meet the specific requirements outlined by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

7. Proof of Name Change:
If your spouse has ever changed their name, provide legal documents supporting the name change, such as a marriage certificate or official name change certificate.

8. Medical Examination:

Even if not accompanying you, your spouse may need to undergo a medical examination by an IRCC-approved panel physician to ensure they meet health requirements.

9. Additional Supporting Documents:
Proof of Ongoing Relationship: Evidence such as communication records, photographs together, or financial support documents to demonstrate the genuineness of your relationship.
Childrens Documents: If you have children together, include their birth certificates and any relevant custody documents.

Ensure that all documents are clear, legible, and, if not in English or French, accompanied by certified translations. Organize your application package according to the document checklist provided by IRCC to facilitate efficient processing.

Dear @Miss bee and all,
I applied for PR under the BC PNP (PhD candidate stream) on Aug 1, 2024, and received AOR on Jan 9, 2025 (almost 5 months after the application). On the same day, I was requested to pay for biometrics (family fee) and on Jan 15, 2025, they confirmed that the payment has been attached to my file. However, I haven't received the BIL yet. Is that a normal thing to happen? I see some folks say that they received the AOR and the BIL at the same time.
Thank you for your orientation.

I have received AOR and BIL on Jan 7 2025 (PhD graduate stream). I have submitted my biometrics. What should I expect next? I know that processing time has changed to 20 months. Does that affect my case?
