I received the test invitation email today but it’s rather the opposite to what a lot of people experienced cause I have the email but when I logged in to see the tracker it still says “Not Started” next to the test section. The oath is also not started and everything else is “in progress”

Told you it was coming soon lol
Take the test anyway and they will have to update your file which will show in the tracker. Make sure you email a copy of the test results to yourself as proof.

Is emailing it to myself an option at the end of the test? Also, is there going to be a person looking at me during the test?

Yes, you can either print or email results at the end of the test.
Also, yes, your webcam will be used to record you during the test and will be reviewed by an officer later.

You're going to get an invite to do an online test. You'd have to email them, and wait, to explain why you can't take an online test or would prefer an in-person test. During that waiting time to even get scheduled for an in-person test (if they will), you could have already taken the online test.

Just look at the screen and nowhere else while taking the test. It took me like 9 minutes total to take the entire test and then go back and carefully review all the questions and my answers and submit. I just didn't look anywhere else but the screen. What is the officer going to see? It just takes random pictures of you during the test for them to review. They don't watch an entire video.

If they think it's suspicious for some reason or you had problems, you still have 2 attempts, and after that point if you still can't complete it, you'll be summoned for an in-person interview to figure out wtf your problem is. :p

In short, just take the online test and don't do anything squirrely. Just look at your computer screen and nowhere else.

Hi guys, I’m not sure if anyone has experience with this, but I just want to clarify something. I got a GU on the 25th, and my application status changed to "background complete" on 27.01. However, at the top of the page, under the "updated" section, the last updated date shows as 29.01. Does this mean there was another GU on the 29th, or is this update related to the background check update on the 27th?
Did anyone else experience this? What was the outcome?
Just to be clear, I’m simply curious about how the IRCC system works and what might be going on.

I used AI to help calculate the average waiting time for September and August applications with Copilot. For both months, the wait time from AOR to Oath was 4 months and 20 days.:)

I received the test invitation and the time bracket given is feb 7 - march 8. does it mean that it’s ok to take it at any day and time during that time window? For example Saturday at 9pm?

Yes, you can take it any time during the window. Just do it sooner than later in case you don't pass...this way you will have time for your 2nd/3rd attempts.

The letter via email gives you the exact dates and times it's valid through at the top. You can take it at night as long as it's within the timeframe. There is no human proctor. They review the pictures from your webcam later.
