Hi all. Question please for those who were able to speak to an IRCC agent and were given their file numbers. Can you please tell me what options to select from the voice prompts? When i called the IRCC hotline, the options require application number to be able to be connected to an agent which I still don’t have since we haven’t received the AOR yet. Thank you!!

June 3rd - submitted
July 15th - ADR; submitted the same day
Sept 14th - AOR
Sept 21st - Meds Approved (My parents had med done in Canada in 2023)
Oct 4th - PCC request
Nov 11th - PCC submitted
Dec 12th - Informed IRCC about Dad's Passing Away ; IRCC requested more docs same day
Jan 02nd - docs submitted to make my Mom as the primary applicant
Jan 9th - New Application number Assigned with my Mom as Primary applicant
Jan 15th - biometric requested
Jan 16th - biometric submitted
Jan 20th - IRCC asked for a registered Death Certificate of my father; waiting for it now from Service Canada
Jan 22nd - sponsor Approved and file move to Mississauga

Finally got an AOR.. yesterday from mississauga office.. it seems its going to be a very long ride.. UGHH..

Requested PCC.. started the process.

Received an update today that my Mother passed the medical. We actually never received the medical request, but my parents had their medical done in March 2023 in Canada for visitor visa extension, so IRCC considered it.

May 28nd - ITA
June 3rd - submitted

No, just an update in the GCKEY account. It shows medical passed on Jan 24th 2025.

First sorry to hear about your loss as it happen in December, however you are bit relieved now as your mother can stay with you, sorry for asking did your parents travel outside of Canada after the Medical done in 2023? Please share this detail thank you

Thank you for your message about my Dad. and yes, my parents did travel outside of Canada after the Medical was done in 2023. Infact my mom travelled twice. but luckily IRCC still considered the results from 2023 as valid.

Please have a look at the information below from IRCC, so looks like if you fall under these conditions, medical may not be required which happened in my case.

In-Canada applicants
We’ve extended the temporary public policy for immigration medical exams (IMEs) until October 5, 2029. Updated
If you completed an IME within 5 years of submitting your new application, include the IME number (or the unique medical identifier number) from your previous IME in your current application.
Reasons you may be exempt
You may be exempt from completing another IME if you meet all of these conditions:

• you applied or are applying for either permanent residence or temporary residence
• you already live in Canada
• you completed your previous IME in the last 5 years
• your previous IME indicated a low risk or no risk to public health or public safety

Thank you Kunal, yes I am aware of above rule, I am confused whether IRCC consider applicant for medical test exemption If they traveled outside of Canada after the Medical. Thank you for your response and Good luck.

It's up to IRCC case officer to consider previous medical. They can request it or use one that's done in the previous 5 years.

Nov 2024 - Submitted requested docs and PCC.

I am using this page to check the status - https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

I am just asked for application number, family name, dob and place of birth here. I tried my info as well as principal applicant info and both don't work.
