Hi @Miss bee

Your input on this please?
It’s not uncommon for applicants to receive multiple reminders of their Pre-Arrival Services Letter (PAL), especially if there have been delays in processing their application. The PAL is often an indicator that eligibility is passed, but it doesn’t necessarily mean your application is close to completion.
Given your AR: June 14 and AOR: October 29, your timeline aligns with others experiencing delays, especially if your background verification or security screening is still in progress. Many 2024 applicants with similar timelines report waiting several months post-PAL for finalization.

Please any one with an advice on what I have to do. I applied for an open work permit in August 2024 when my PGWp was to expire in Nov 2024. I did not receive a decision until December 2024 when a refusal was issued asking for LMIA. My employer does not give LMIA. However I have a PR application submitted since early August 2024 waiting for AOR. Please I need an advise on possible steps to take

Hi @jjac
If you don’t mind me asking, what additional documents did they request for?

Hi @Miss bee,
I have applied under OINP Non Express Entry PR on July 7, 2024 and received AOR on Nov 27 2024. As I did not pay upfront for by biometrics, IRCC asked me to pay biometrics fees and requested additional information on my application on the same date. I received Acknowledgement of the submitted documents on Dec 8 2024. I havent heard anything from IRCC since that date. When can I expect to get letter to submit the biometrics and medical. My work permit expires in Sep 2025 and the current updated processing time of 20 months worries me.

You do not need to create a new IRCC account for your PR application. You can link your immigration application to your existing IRCC account even if it contains previous visit or study permits. Here’s how to proceed:
Linking Your Application to Your IRCC Account
1. Log in to your existing IRCC account.
2. Select the “Link application to this account” option.
3. Fill out the required details to locate your PR application (e.g., Application Number, UCI, and personal information).
4. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
If you cannot find your application while attempting to link it, ensure that all details (e.g., family size, passport information, and application type) are entered correctly.

Regarding the Medical Request
It’s not uncommon for applicants to receive a BIL with their AOR but no medical request. There are two possible reasons:
1. Medical Exam May Be Exempt: Depending on your circumstances (e.g., recent medical exam on file or medical exam completed during a previous application), IRCC may not request another medical exam.
2. Medical Request May Be Delayed: Some applicants receive their medical request after AOR as part of the regular processing workflow
Since you’ve already paid the medical fee for your family and submitted your application, IRCC will notify you if further medical action is required. Keep monitoring your account for updates.
Thanks a ton for your prompt response. This is really helpful!

If you haven’t got AOR you were supposed to submit closed work permit application. For that your employer won’t need LMIA . He has to submit job offer in employer portal and pay $230 compliance fees and then you should put that job offer in work permit application form and apply with help of WPSL from PNP office. For now you are out of status and have to stop working. You should apply closed work permit application along with restoration of status application asap as you only have 90 days to restore status otherwise you will fall out of status and have to leave Canada.

I received AOR + BIL on Dec 23rd. I gave biometrics on Dec 30th. My wife's biometrics were updated a few hours later, but mine still haven't been updated. Will I have any issues given that it's been almost a month and my biometrics have not been updated? Should I send a webform with the confirmation they gave me at the Service Canada office?

Hi Guys, I submitted my application on Sept 27th, still have not received the AOR, is there anyone with the same timeframe who has received their AOR? Also, what's the time to receive AoR?

Thank you for the response but I work for a government establishment and they do not give LMIA. What can I do?
