I recently got my ECOPR, and my marital status shows single instead of married. I applied for PR in Feb 2024, I got married in Oct 2024, and I immediately informed IRCC about the change in my marital status. My wife is a citizen of Canada. IRCC acknowledged the change and asked for additional documents such as my wife's birth certificate, passport and updated IMM forms to change my status to married. Shortly after, I received the final decision, then virtual landing process began and got my ECOPR showing single instead of married.
I sent a webform informing IRCC about the error and also called them. The agent on the phone said "this does not affect anything and you may use your ECOPR for SIN, etc.." , he also said "it's up to you whether you want to change it or not."
I don't know what to do here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm worried it might hurt my application for citizenship.
