I have rise from the dead just to ask this. The Service Canada peeps told me that I need to call CRA to update them since they are an entire seperate entity.

So you applied for your mother under the PGP? Not sure how your brother qualifies for that! You're posting in the wrong thread. Post it under family sponsorship for better visibility by the other senior members!

Can somebody advise me if processing time for the issuance of COPR is less for CEC as compared to other categories as our processing time is 5 months.....

Do it in person, you can get it on the spot.

Pro tip: Go mid week instead of Mondays or Fridays, less traffic.

Yeah! I went on Tuesday morning and stood in line exactly at 8 AM. They opened at 8:30 AM and I was out of there by 8:37 AM!

Went to Service Ontario and Canada. Both only took 15 mins each in the AM.
