Thank you for the information but looks like it can be changed to online oath with a valid excuse
Possibly, but your problem is that you're outside Canada, not that the ceremony is in Vancouver while you're in Montreal, so not sure what difference that makes.
Also, if you ask for a new date and a zoom ceremony, nothing stops you from specifying in your message to IRCC that you'd want an e-certificate. Whether you get one, dunno, but someone else may answer this point.

AOR Received.

Hi all,
I need help filling the Residence & Tax section.
I renewed my India passport while in Canada. The new India passport shows Place of Issue as Toronto.
What should I fill in the Country or territory of issue? Will it be India or Canada?

The country of issue is the country that issued the passport, not the place where it was printed. So, India.

Hi quick question.
I submitted my citizenship application and got the AOR last week. But online my status has not changed it. It still says "Application Submitted! This is NOT your AOR"
How long does it typically take to update? Should I contact IRCC?
https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en
Create an account on the above to check status of your application. AOR email will have UCI and application number needed for it.

The date you submitted the application.
In my case:
-App submitted online on Nov 15
-AOR letter received and dated Dec 16
-Then once I got access to the online tracker, I noticed it says app filed Nov 29.

Was just curious to know what the application date on the tracker corresponds to for other applicants. Is it mostly AOR date or online submission dated ?

According to a quick research I did yesterday, it looks like the App filed date is typically the AOR date. For me, it would mean IRCC started the process on Nov 29, but only sent me the AOR on Dec 16.

This is all not very important, but that is what a forum is for right ? Sharing information and discussing all the little details !

14 days is ideal time to receive AOR. Looks like email got delayed.

Hi, sorry I have a dumb question. I initially submitted online application on Dec 17, I received an email today says that my application is missing information. I logged in and it says I have other people's information in my supporting document - I included my property purchase agreement as part of the supporting documents. So I removed that document and resubmitted, the application date however changed to today's date. May I ask if anyone knows that will they process my resubmitted application quicker since I already submitted once, or it will be treated as a new application... thanks...

I was just about to submit application and noticed my health card has expired. I attached my health card as proof of my identity. Can I attach proof of renewal of the health card and still submit my application? Or wait to get a new card? Thank you.

You can submit with expired one and later once you get the new one attach it to a webform.

Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of applying online for canadian citizenship. While I was filling the application form via their website, I noticed that under the Residence and tax > Police Certificates, the following question was asked
In the past 4 years, were you in a country or territory other than Canada for 183 days or more in a row (since the age of 18)?

And the website doesn't distinguish between applicants who were staying in their country of origin prior to landing in Canada.

Since in my case, I stayed in my Country of Origin (India) before landing in Canada as PR, should I still provide the PCC ? When I checked the paper based application guide, the folowing is mentioned under Question 10.B of Step 4 – Complete the application form

You don’t need to provide a police certificate if

  • you were in your country of origin immediately prior to becoming a permanent resident and landing in Canada, and
  • this time falls within the past 4 years
So pls guide me on whether should I still provide the PCC given my situation. Any help on this would be much appreciated

Did you provide PCC during your PR? If Yes, you can answer the same for that question.
