Hello , we received that letter in july 5th 2024 and passport request 24th of October, No timeline limit its just depends on office .

Hello, I have a question. My parents passport got stamped with immigrant visa. How long before they need to enter Canada? In the past, it used to be 6 months from approval…the validity of visa states expiry in August 2025. So do they have until August to visit canada and become immigrants?

Today I received a letter that asked to submit passport within 30 days. The asked to submit passport to the nearest VFS in my country and then the passport will be sent to Singapore Canadian consulate. My question is any idea how long it takes for Singapore to send back the passport? Our family have religious trip booked in January last week. I am confused do i wait to submit the passport till we return home or just submit to VFS.
You will most likely get it within 2 weeks, but if you are worried you can always just request a 30-day extension and submit after their trip.

I applied my parents sponsorship PR in Nov 2021 and I was asked for csq in Nov 2022. We have done medical 2 times . 1 in Dec 2022 and 2 in Jan 2023. I havent heard anything since then. My visa office is sydney, canada. I am not sure what to do we have raised it with MP as well.

Your parents maybe in security screening. Did you order CBSA or/and CSIS notes? Did your parents have military or government work experience?
same here, applied in NOV 2021, did medical Twice, Local MP was not helpful/Useful at all, spoke with IRCC, they were so rude and just kept saying its in process (for ever i guess)
