Hi Everyone,

I applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) for Canada on 23rd October 2024. I am an Indian passport holder currently residing in Ireland on a Stamp 1 Work Visa. I am employed in a full-time office-based job in Ireland, which demonstrates my strong ties to the country.
The purpose of my visit is to meet a friend and go sightseeing in Canada, and I have mentioned mid-December 2024 as my intended travel date in the application.
On the IRCC website, the current processing time for the Canadian Embassy in Ireland is listed as 293 days, which seems significantly long.

I have a few questions and would appreciate your input:
1. Could anyone share their recent experience with TRV approvals from Ireland? Are approvals generally faster than the processing time indicated on the IRCC website?
2. Is there a way to track my application more accurately to get updates on its status?

If anyone has received their visa approval in less time than indicated, it would be incredibly helpful if you could share your timeline and any tips for expediting the process.

Thank you in advance for your help and insights!

The Work Visa expiration date is in July, 2025. I have been staying in Ireland for more than 3 years. I have also attached a letter from my employer stating that I have to return to office in Dublin.

Stamp 1 is not renewable and it's expiring. It's a red flag.

My employer has sponsored my Stamp 1 Visa and its renewable. It will be renewed in May 2025 so that I can continue my employment with the employer in Ireland. Also, it has been renewed in my previous years in Ireland.

It will be a red flag anyway. I would better apply when it's all renewed. And you need to show much more than just a full-time job.

Sure no problem! keeping the ties with Ireland point aside in the Visa Application. Can you help with my queries related to processing timelines?
