Dude u just started
At best u will take 8-9 months from the day u submitted ur case
Other than that 1 year to 1 and half depending on ur claim and country of origin
Don’t get disappointed for waiting it’s worth it .
Good luck

After the recent statements by IRCC I believe hearings will postponed even further. It will be at least 1.5 years for everyone. So if you filled claim in the beginning of 2024, at least wait until 2025 summer.

1.5 years is even ambitious given the backlog. There is supposed to be an announcement about reforms to asylum system because there is around 250k claims when IRB can only process around 50k/year.

Yeah the current changes are unsettling, it's making the wait filled with more anxiety

I don't know what to take of these changes

Let's hope for the best

They didn't ask anything in the interview

I had also carried 2 passport photos and they never asked for them. They took me pics there

I went to Kitchener

All the best guys

Now road to PR
That was so nice of you. All the best, and good luck on your road to PR! I have an important concern: Could you please advise me on photos (the letter says 4 passport-size photos)? Am I required to carry 4 passport-size photos or it is not necessary? Also, I do not have my passport with me - CBSA seized it! Please advise, what ID shall I carry? Thank you very much.

if the letter says you need to carry photos with you I advise you to carry photos and everything the letter says. since you do not have the passport and any other id you can carry "Certified True Copy" stamped photo copy of PP given by immigration/CBSA. also carry all the document your were given by immigration/CBSA.

also what is your timeline?
