He lives in Quebec and in their sites it says he should work 1 year and it shows certain amount
You are right, the process for a sponsor living in Quebec differs slightly. There’s a minimum annual income amount but the sponsor does not need to have worked for a year to prove this - an employment letter and paystubs should be enough. They also have a list of other documents they may accept as proof.
The other thing sponsoring through Quebec changes is the processing time which is significantly longer at 36 months at the moment.

This is the line I found pertaining to that from the link you shared:

“You must have had income during the 12 months (1 year) prior to your application and demonstrate that you will continue to have this income for the duration of your undertaking.”

It doesn’t mean the sponsor should have worked for the whole year. But it does say that they must have had income in the 12 months leading up to the submission of the application that proves they can support the applicant.

As an example, if the sponsor is being paid 50,000 annually and they started working six months prior to the submission but can show that the employment is indefinite or it’s a long-term contract then it’s enough

Is it 10 months yet? Then why do want to be in 'worry-mode'? Chillax- till January. Then go in worry mode. In the mean time - order your GCMS notes so that you will get it around first week of January. You will have some idea of where it might be stuck, if its still stuck by then.
The Tracker used t show relationship to sponsor as "spouse", but its been more than a month its showing relation to sponcer as "Other" Should I report it using a web form now or wait till 10 months ?

Hi everyone, I(the sponsor) received an email yesterday from IRCC(I usually receive email from CIC) regarding my wife's (principal) application. it is an inland application. it is a "Welcome to the Permanent Resident Confirmation portal process " email. the email asked for further information regarding the principal's name, last name height, etc., and asked her to provide this information in the portal. I am confused, where should she provide this information? I checked both the PR portal and the tracker, there is no update or place to input the information. appreciate any help

Can anyone please give me an advice, what are my options if I can't get any documents or information from my dependent child (she's 21, living in Germany and we don't have the best relationship).
My application was returned and I should provide info regarding my non-accompanying child from previous marriage.
I'm applying under spousal class, living and married to my sponsor - wife.

Thank you all.

What is your timeline?
we submitted March 26th inland sponsorship, received AOR on April 18, and eligibility approval on Aug 22, we asked to send additional information(family member information) and the updated addresses(there were a couple of gaps initially) earlier this month(I believe Nov 11), in which we submitted the next day, we also asked to pay for the biometric($85) in which we paid the next day(Nov25 or 26th) and received the portal email yesterday. any idea of the next steps and the timeline? approximately.

Hey Everyone,

Would love your thoughts on this and I wanted to hear your thoughts compared to your experience for your Inland Spouse Sponsorship Application.
  • Sponsor: Canadian Born Citizen
  • Submitted: 2024-01-14
  • AOR: 2024-01-30
  • Biometric Request: 2024-02-21
  • Biometrics Payment: 2024-02-24
  • Biometrics Completed: 2024-02-26
  • Medical Completed: 2024-02-28
  • Eligibility Completed: 2024-05-08
  • Pre-Arrival Services Letter: 2024-05-09
  • Sponsor Eligibility Letter: 2024-05-09
  • Background Check changed to In-Progress: 2024-09-05
It was radio silent since May to September and since September it’s been quiet.
I’m just wondering as it is reaching close to 12 months of processing time and have seen others applied around the same time as me and after mehave already received their eCOPR or even PR cards.

Any thoughts by anyone? When I can expect to hear back?

Thanks for your thoughts in advance

in the web form its asking for email id for applicant which is not mandetory, should we provide it ?? , but sponsor is the representative so sponsor's email id was given plus the PA later linked the application to its GC key after getting the biometric request. so whose email id to give ? should we upload screenshots of the mistakes ?
