GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Background check status changed from not applicable to we are processing your background check. I was asked to provide PCC and Schedule A for myself and also my spouse background check is completed. Further, I have been in security screening for 4 years, so now in this context what would this change in status would mean ?

I have applied for PR- Non Express on Oct 2023

Medical and Biometrics was done on Feb 2024

Since It had been one year since my application had been filed, I approached my MP. I was informed that my application is in security check.

I want to know who else is in the same timeline and while reading over the thread . I came across CSIS notes. I want to know what is that and how can i apply for that?

Any guides and advice is appreciated

Apply csis thru ATIP website and gcms notes, you will come to know , whether file went to cbsa or csis.

Not always. I send a lot of GCMS notes, only some of them trigger a tracker update, so rare so it could just an coincidence.

I applied in June 2021..and the security check was launched on January 9, 2023.

Did u get cleared? mine, application submitted June 2023 the security started October 2023, no update since then

I received my second CBSA notes and there's a slight difference in the Sub activities under the security section. It was "In Progress by CBSA" in the first notes but now it's blank. Does anyone know if that means anything?
