Hi, I recently just submitted my pr application where some information might be inconsistent with my student application before particularly with my work history. As far as I can remember during my student application, my representative and I declared that I was a co owner and worked in our business for years, however, when I was applying for pr, I already forgot what position we had declared back then and just decided to declare positions that I knew i was apart of which were genuine that could give me points. As part of the requirements I just submitted a signed employment letter stating the positions, duties and responsibilities i did during those years working in our family business. Now, i am very anxious as I am being more aware of the consequences that i might get of creating these discrepancies. Is there any advice that anyone of you can share, Incase an officer issue me a pfl. I am currently a workpermit holder, i am very afraid that i might get deported if they mark my application misrepresentation.

Order gcms notes .. like a full package of your previous application and compare the 2 profiles, if any discrepancies.. send a webform. If they find it , its a misrepresentation

Thank you for the response. Yes there can be discrepancies with my work history as I wasnt really sure about what positions to declare before submiting my pr application, however, looking back in the letter that was submitted on my student application about my cooperation with our family business, it was stated there that I was being trained at different positions, and that I was really part of the operation even during my college days back home. So, I just declared what I can remember that i was apart of that can give me points. There can really be a misrepresentation in this applicatoon because of the discrepancy, but given the chance to explain it through pfl, do you think I can still save my application from being refused? Secondly, what are the chances of them really checking my previous application particularly the work history? Thank you!

Be proactive, it depends upon the officer but i think its high in these kind of cases because you withheld information that could induce an error in their judgement. I would recommend checking with previous application and using same as is in the pr application.
