The super visa application requirement of "must apply from outside Canada" seems self-explanatory but I just want to understand it's application in my situation.
I have my father here with me in Canada (from a visa-exempt country) currently on a 6 month visitor visa. I wan't to apply for a super visa for him but I'm not sure if the above requirement means I can not submit his application while he is here. I'd spoken to an immigration lawyer a few years ago whom, as I remember, stated that the requirement just means the application has to be processed outside of Canada but I still find the wording confusing.
Could anyone please help to clarify?
Thanks so much
