I applied for PR in August 2024 and got my AOR + biometrics request on Nov 4th. I provided biometrics yesterday and it's updated on the portal. I think now it's a long waiting game of 2+ years

Some people are getting there's within months, so it may not be the case

I applied in August 20 and received AOR on November 1 with a application number that start with XG and some Numbers ..I have been unable to link it to my GC key

Remove the X and the rest of the numbers starting with G will be your actual application number. You'll get this actual number in your AOR letter

I received my temporary application number today. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a permanent application number?

Remove the "X" on your temporary number and then the remainder starting with letter 'G' will be you PR application number. This will appear in your AOR. Unfortunately no one knows for sure when the AOR is received after submitting an application.

I applied PR online on 1st week of July 2024 so far i haven't received AOR. But received an additional document request stating an application number starts with XG****. Should i consider this my application number by removing X and try to link it with my GC account ?

You have to update IRCC via web form. I got the similar request. After submitting you will receive an auto generated email.

Thank you bro. I was trying to link it to my GCkey by removing the X but it didn't work.

Linking the PR application to the GC Key is only possible after receiving the AOR. It takes like 24 hours after the AOR and you can link it successfully

That's right, your application number would be the rest of the numbers starting with the letter G. However linking is only possible after you receive the official AOR
