The interview went well. The officer who took my interview was nice and polite. She had questions on purpose of international travel after getting PR, and about entry & exit dates. Verified the original IDs and language proof. However, she didn't mention anything about fingerprints received by IRCC neither I asked. I submitted my fingerprints on 26th Oct, 2024, appears IRCC already received my fingerprints and verified, it seems just the tracker update is pending. I was worrying Canada post strike may delay in receiving my fingerprints by IRCC. Also, verified about my employment details.

At the end of interview I figured out the positive outcome, as she mentioned that she don't think any more questions for me and she would go for final review before approving my application.

Originally, I requested for virtual ceremony and e-certificate when application was submitted, but she honored my request to switch to in-person and paper certificate. She was generous enough and made a note on my profile.

Looking forward to see all steps in Green by Tomorrow morning presume it takes two days for the updates to show in online tracker.

Countdown started for ceremony.

I wish everyone of you get to the finish line sooner in application processing.

congrats. How was the interview?

Today, I realized that I received the fingerprint request email last week, on November 13. The next day, we went and gave our fingerprints at an RCMP-accredited office in Toronto, on November 14. The person there told us that they forwarded the fingerprints to the RCMP, who would then send them to IRCC in Vancouver by non-registered mail. I’m now panicking because the Canada Post strike began on November 15! What should I do? The email mentions I have 30 days to submit, and the strike seems to have no clear end in sight. Should I call IRCC, or is there another step I can take?

Finally, the golden email has been received. My in-person oath ceremony has been scheduled for December 2nd at Scarborough.
Tracker is yet to update for background and LPP.
I didn’t expect my application will be approved this quick after my interview with IRCC yesterday. It’s not even 24 hours.
Congratulations!!

Congratulations! Could you please confirm if you opted for paper certificate or e-certificate in your application?

@hssrp Could you please advise if you know how in-person or virtual ceremony are assigned to applicants? Is it dependent on the fact what type of citizenship certificate was opted in the application?

Thank you intl_stu. I opted for e certificate in the application however during my interview with IRCC officer I requested to switch to paper certificate and in-person ceremony. I remembered she specifically mentioned I can still go for e-certificate for in-person ceremony.

Update: November 21, Language and Physical presence completed. Background and prohibitons are still pending.
We submitted fingerprints on November 14, yesterday I called RCMP, and they sent me a verification e-mail, that they already sent the document to Vancouver ircc on November 19. But stucked at the post office due to the strike..
if they receive the fingerprints, should I except them to update the background and prohibitons together? Or is it a bad sign that the prohibitons did not complete?
