You certainly don't need my approval. I would however encourage you to read about past Conservative immigration policies.

I'm a very proud Canadian Ukrainian myself.

Let's both agree to drop the politics since I don't think we are going to agree on this topic and focus on answering questions directly related to questions about the immigration application process to help people going through the process. Works?
I am here to help people too.
The question is why all of this happening like Ukrainians coming to Canada in record numbers and trying to bring in their relatives.
It is heavily related to politics, isn't it?

It is doomed if the war keeps going on.
Ukraine has already lost millions of young educated women with children who went living abroad, and will likely not return.
Hundreds of thousands of its best men either died in war or were disabled.
Hundreds of thousands fled the country.
It has never been an intent of the US or NATO to give Ukraine enough weapons to be able to win or make it a part of NATO.
Otherwise, Russia could escalate and start open conflict with NATO with the help of its allies.
Do not forget that Russia has virtually unlimited resources and much bigger population than Ukraine, especially now.
Ukraine is loosing badly, and its human resources are basically exhausted.
The best case scenario for it is a peaceful agreement to save its remaining people and land that has not been occupied.
I think that NATO has to up the anti and challenge Putin directly. They should authorize the use of long range missiles. They should give Ukraine nuclear weapons (about 500 warheads). They should actually give Putin an ultimatum to withdraw from Ukraine entirely within 72 hours and pay 5 trillion dollars in reparation to Ukraine forthwith, failing which NATO will march. Any use of nuclear weapons by Russia will be met in kind. Perhaps NATO should strike North Korea with a massive nuclear attack as a warning to Russia. Putin needs to be challenged directly and severly. There should be no pussy footing around this asshole. The west is too chicken to do what is necessary.

This is purely wishful thinking, entirely disconnected from reality.
Nuclear weapons in Ukraine would spell the end of civilization as we know it, and the Western leaders understand this better than us.
The US administration have supported the war against the russian invasion at the cost of the taxpayers and impoverishment of the population.
As a result they lost the credibility and trust.

There are nuclear weapons in Belarus. There seems to be a double standard here. Everyone is so terrified and paralyzed by nuclear weapons. While Russia boast thousands more than other countries, quantity is not quality. All the smart analysts say that Putin's nuclear sabre rattling should be ignored.

Nothing you have posted so far indicates you are here to help. You are arguing politics. Helping on this forum means answering people's questions about immigration application forms and processes, wait times, program criteria, required supporting documents, etc. You are obviously free to post what you want. But what you are posting is not help.

I am confused why you are targeting me while others are doing exactly the same.
Are you looking for a "formal" excuse to be able to have me banned because "I am not following the forum rules"? ;-)
All right, here you go:
I helped my mom submit application under Ukraine Family Reunification Public Policy in early April, and the application is still in the 'Submitted' state.
Other forum members now can see that the processing may take longer than 7 months.

Dear fellow forum members!
I have a question regarding the following statement on the official web site here (Category 1):

"To apply to immigrate under this policy, you must:
  • be in Canada when:
    • you submit your application
    • you’re granted permanent residence
...

and here:

If you need to leave Canada
You can leave and return to Canada if you

Does this include the following scenario?
1) The applicant leaves Canada temporarily;
2) The applicant gets approved while being abroad;
3) The applicant returns to Canada as a Temporary resident and is granted PR at the point of entry.

I found the answer on my own here while writing my question:

If we approve your application
If we approve your application, we’ll contact you using the phone number or email you provided to:

  • pay your right of permanent residence fee (if you haven’t already)
  • confirm information you gave in your application
  • make sure all your documents are valid
  • confirm your permanent residence status online.
It means that the applicant returns to Canada as a Temporary resident, fulfil the requirements above, and then may become a Permanent resident.

I think we are all growing frustrated by the length of time it is taking to process these applications, which should more or less be rubber stamped. It appears to me that it is just another example of government employee laziness and lack of drive to get things done in a timely manner. I know there is pressure on the system. I know that there is a process. I also know that a lot of time gets wasted and I seriously question the work ethic of many government workers.

You should not be scared of Putin. You are playing into his hands and reacting the way he wants you to. Just point the gun barrel back at him. It is more or less a game of chicken.

Ukrainians are generally well-educated and hardworking people who make significant contributions to the development of the countries they move to.
It's in Canada’s best interest to take this into account.

Did Newbie get an AOR or was the first notice that the application was being processed the invitation for biometrics?
