New born baby after getting COPR and VISA

Any update???? I am also still waiting for IRCC to add my newborn.

They still didn’t add our newborn to the application..
Did they add yours? IRCC asked us to return our COPRs and submit all the newborn documents. We did submit the documents but we don’t know when and how we are supposed to return our COPRs.
How did you return yours?

Nope Nothing yet. IRCC sent all my newborn documents to Edmonton office who is going to process my application for newborn on May 5th, 2024, but still nothing has happened. when did you inform IRCC about baby and when did you send documents to IRCC?

I am going to do follow up next week again to see the status, I already sent couple of webforms, but nothing really moved.

How do you know that IRCC sent your documents to Edmonton office? Is there any tracker or something to know this? Because it will be helpful to know where our file is getting processed and what stage it is at.

And did you update your CIC account with newborn documents or mailed them?
we informed IRCC in june and updated all documents on July 21st, 2024 on our CIC account.

Yes, they have added our newborn to the application and completed the medical examinations. We are now awaiting the next steps.

we submitted the baby’s documents on August 17th.
They added him on September 16th.
Medicals completed on October 25th.
We are now waiting to get an update on final decision because eligibility and background are also reflecting as completed on tracker.

What stage are you on now? Are they now working on your file too?
I pray you also get your ppr mail soon.

I sent Babys document in April still they have not added my baby in my application. so it just waiting and waiting. I am in US right now too so no rush as such but it just peace of mind to have it on hand and complete landing procedure.

If they have not contacted yet about medicals, Contact your MP's office, this is too long if there has been no movement.

I am not sure how to contact local MP as I am in USA right now. I used to live in Windsor Canada.

You cannot sponsor a minor while living outside Canada. Almost certainly this is why your file is delayed. Sorry, I see now you mentioned this above and I missed it.

Your file will not be approved. If you're not planning to actually reside in Canada, may as well withdraw it, might save some money.

you are not reading it right. I am not sponsoring anyone - I got my COPR n Jan 2024 but my baby was born in Feb 2024 so family composition has changed. I am yet to do landing and paperwork which I can not with current COPR as family composition has changed after getting COPR. so per IRCC I need to inform them which I did and sent all forms for baby to get added in our application. usualy process is they will add baby in our application and ask for medical then issue new COPRs to all of us based of our medical expiration date.

please without reading it properly and understanding the basics do not give any advice.

My apologies, I read a lot of different threads, not always easy to keep them straight. Your 'used to live in windsor' bit threw me off.

That said: I see you are a CEC applicant. You're posting in the wrong sub-forum here. This is family sponsorship. Can you see how that comes about?

Contacting MP not really relevant in this context. Ask in the correct forum, perhaps they will have advice.

See above, I did indeed make a mistake there. But you should post in the appropriate forum here. Just because it involves 'family' doesn't make it family sponsorship.
