Hi, my name is Diya, and I am from India. My husband lives in Canada and has permanent residency. I am now applying for my spouse visa.

On my birth certificate, my father's name has an initial, while my passport does not include this initial. All my other documents also do not have initials; only my birth certificate has this issue. I can't edit the passport because my 10th-grade certificate does not have an initial for my father, and updating that certificate is a very tedious process. What can I do in this situation, and will this affect my spouse visa?

please guide me well

Thanks in advance
Should be fine, this type of discrepancy not even worth explaining in my opinion.

Contact the MP, order a gcms note
I have been in contact with the MPs office since 2022. MP never meets himself, his officer just keeps on saying we need to wait patiently and there isn't much they can do. Have ordered GCMS notes. Nothing seems to be wrong with the application.

Consider mandamus through a lawyer to force IRCC to make a decision.

Hello,

The tracker for outland sponsorship says all sections completed and got pre-arrival letter; however, the biometrics still say in progress. We paid for it but still didn't get the BIL. How is the background check completed but the biometric is still in progress? Don't they need the finger prints to complete the back ground check?

Hello,

My wife has PR and she is currently sponsoring me and I haven't got the PR yet. We might need to move to a different province because I got job elsewhere and she would be moving with me together. Is there going to be any problem?

no issue. If you are moving to Quebec, then you need to go thru the extra Quebec process and slower processing time.

Hello, I am a principal applicant under common law partner application for permanent residency. Currently I am working on PGWP and its expiring in January 2025. I want to apply for Open work permit. When I filled out the questionnaire on IRCC, it gave me the forms IMM5710 $ 5257.

1. Are those 2 forms the correct forms based on my conditions and scenarios.
2. If yes, under form IMM5710, point 3, it is asking to choose one or more option where options are
- Applying under same employer
- Applying for first time or with new employer
- Restore status as Worker
- Temporary resident permit(only if inadmissible to Canada)
which of these options will be suitable for me? Currently I am a full time employee and will continue to work with same company. But if I choose this option, will it still be OWP?

Please let me know which options are applicable to me and if I am looking at right forms or not.

Also, any other suggestions are appreciated about form 5710.

Thanks in advance.

We got a letter from IRCC earlier today as a response to our "case status enquiry". They confirmed application is still being processed and is within standard processing times, but the last paragraph reads:

"In addition, if you wish to extend your stay in Canada, you may apply to renew your visitor status online. Please refer to our website for more information on visiting Canada"

But it's an outland application. I would like to know if this is just a generic paragraph. Is this something someone with an outland application has received? Or is IRCC attempting to process the application as if the PA were already in Canada?

For additional context, I noticed at some point that the PA's address changed to the sponsor's address in Canada (per application tracker). We checked with IRCC during two separate calls to understand why that happened. No explanation was given, we were assured it was not a problem and then it changed back. The PA is not in Canada and does not have a TRV. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
