No, no passport request. The will send information to portal 1, reply to the email with all information. Then they will send portal 2 to go on the portal and upload photo and make sure your address is correct to mail card

Okay.. It seems like 'Right of permanent residence fee' payment needs to be credited before they send the p1 email, update was 'We received the payment you sent us. ' after seeing the details of COPR on the tracker. On the GCKey , 'Application card had the following added'
Latest update:
Final decision - November 1, 2024:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made . Hopefully this is an indication, the p1 email is on the way ? anyone with similar updates [ Application Received : March 13]

Hi, I have already paid $1080 when I applied, I also paid $85 for biometrics fee. What fee am I paying again?

You should be good. The $1,080 you paid previously included the sponsorship fee ($75), applicant fee ($490), and right of PR fee ($515).

It's possible to defer the PR fee until you're approved which is what some people will have done.

So paid the bio fee on Oct. 31st, shows they received it on the 1st of November. Haven't seen P1 yet. :( Was hoping as quickly as it was paid that they would send pretty quick, but still waiting though. Keeping fingers crossed it will arrive soon. UGH

We worried about this. We paid it upfront because we assumed that paying it later could potentially cause delay or miscommunication debacle. Maybe raise a web inquiry to get someone to open your file?

We didn't pay the bio fee as I had done bio prior to doing the application, and sent them in with the application. Guess they weren't happy with them, as it hadn't been done at Service Canada.... so they sent me to do them again, taking the bio fee from my RPRF. Waited until now to say hey we want this money. It's been less than a week since sending the payment, so will wait just a few more days before reaching out.

On a positive note, it’s been really encouraging seeing this discussion thread come to life ☝

i don't think "they weren't happy as it hadn't been done at Service Canada", there is a link to check if you need to provide biometric
you just presumed it's not required and created unneccessary delays to your application :)
Find out if you need to give biometrics

When to give your biometrics
You will need to pay for and then give your biometrics, even if you gave biometrics in the past to support a visitor visa, study or work permit application, or a different permanent resident application.

Did background check completed on tracker? If not that’s what normally hold up the processing . Paying biometrics fee normally don’t mean your going to get P1, as a matter or fact paying any fee.. you could pay all of that from the beginning, what really hold the processing so long is background check.. that can be a good 3 months of waiting. Trust me it’s stressful but hang on you will get to the end .
