hello everyone!

I need help with the questions: Visa Application (DS-160)

1. Country/authority that issued passport/travel document?
2- Country, region of origin, nationality?

i have (RTD)

I could be wrong but I think for the DS-160 Visa Application:
  1. Country/Authority that Issued Passport/Travel Document: If you’re using a Refugee Travel Document (RTD) issued by Canada, you would list Canada as the issuing country.
  2. Country, Region of Origin, Nationality: This should refer to your original nationality or country of birth. If you are a refugee, list your nationality as it was before you were granted refugee status (e.g., your country of origin).

But let’s wait for others to reaponse…Good luck!

hello everyone!

I need help with the questions:
for Visa Application (DS-160)

Are you a permanent resident of a country/region other than your country/region of origin (nationality) above?

Should I choose yes or no? I live in canada no PR yet

* Which location is better for submitting my application?
* Are there any steps to help me waive the interview? I have a valid B1/B2 visa on my nationality passport that has been seized by IRCC. Currently, I have (RTD)

Thanx ,

Hi,

* You choose Yes, as you live in Canada and have conventional refugee status.

* I don't think locations matter, I got the visa from Toronto, but I have seen people getting the interview waiver from the Ottowa and Montreal consulate office too.

* If you have a US B1/B2 visa on your nationality passport, put the details of the visa and the expiration date when you make an appointment and you will automatically get an interview waiver.

After you fill the application form and go to the website for interview you will answer some questions. At the end you should be able to get you visa without interview. If system ask you to choose interview date call them and tell them I think I answered the questions wrong because I have visa. I want to answer again or can we fix.
It happened to my friend (she was not refugee) and she called them and fixed for her.
