Hello, I'm inquiring on behalf of a friend who has a refugee case pending for a hearing. The case was submitted in January 2024 and was referred to the IRB. In September, they received a letter on the IRCC portal. This is the first time I am seeing a CV is requested. Is this something new, or is there anything to be worried about? I would appreciate any response on this. Thank You
The letter states " This letter refers to your application for refugee protection in Canada. We need the following documents to continue processing your application: 1. A detailed CV outlining the applicants employment history/memberships/government positions including a description of their duties. Please note the requested supplementary information is due 24/OCT/2024. A request for an extension may be submitted; however it must be made in writing to the CINSS and prior to the due date for further consideration"
