That's a great news, many congratulations mate.

Were you able to renew work permit during this period or stayed without that? Did CBSA call you after the PRRA rejection?

Just want to understand till when I can renew my work permit.
If PRRA is in progress yes you can renew your work permit.

Hello everyone, please we need an advise, my sister got an email today from IRCC saying she has to sign a form saying she is no longer with her common law partner and she cannot sponsor him in future. Reason because he wasn’t included in the application and AIP.

Hell
It isn't the visa (TRV) but the visitor's status that will see enforcement action if the person becomes inadmissible for being in Canada without authorization.

Hello to U2.

An inventory is all of the undecided casework (applications) in any office.

For H&C, these are cases in all of the inland offices where there has yet to be a decision, and that's mostly Vancouver but with cases also accumulated by the Toronto & Montreal sub-offices. Vancouver distributes cases to them for decisions and manages the outcomes (productivity).

That's it.

"Unprocessed inventory" replaced the word "backlog" in IRCC jargon years ago.

Can you clarify the question? Is she still in a relationship with him?

When she did her 1st application? Yes! But second application? No! And she was approved in principle without him, but they are back together and IRCC sent him medical form with her own medical but he was NOT included in AIP. After he did the medical since April 2024, they sent the form yesterday saying she should confirm their separation and she can’t sponsor him in future.

She may want to speak with a lawyer. How long ago was the second application submitted and when did they start living together again?

Hello, I would like to know how long it typically takes for the officer assigned to a case to respond. My case was submitted in July 2024, and my biometrics and AOR were completed in August 2024.

1st office - Vancouver, 2nd office - Ottawa.

Hello,

It is a PRRA & H&C processing model that works on the Government's priorities.

How long does it take for a file to be assigned to an officer is the question because of the tens of thousands of PRRA and H&C applications that are already in the inventory awaiting assignment for a decision.

So, there are case-types in the inventory and the greatest priority is PRRA, not H&C.

This is apparently your first post, so there is no answer to your question because you don't identify whether or not you're asking about PRRA or H&C.

I'll assume H&C, and it will often take 2 or 3 years before the person who can actually make a decision will have it open in front of them.

Hello,

Thanks for your quick msg. It was referring to the H&C case.
