evisa extension for infant

Hi There,

My wife and I are Indian citizen and our son born in Canada. My wife and son are currently in India and my son have Indian evisa (validity180 days).

My question is, how can my infant son stay in India with valid status more over 180 days? they are planning to stay in India for total 8 months (2 months over validity of evisa).

As my wife is on maternity/parental leave she wanted to take advantage of this vacation. Do FRRO consider infant application any differently?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.
